Using the Galaxy Nexus, You Can Beat Box Over Video With Your 9-Member Crew Through Google+ Hangouts

The latest Galaxy Nexus ad from Google. Beat boxing. 9 friends. Video. Google+. Fun.

  • 秀年 许

The exhibit is  called "Picasso to Koons: Artist as
    Jeweler." You probably will
    recognize the names of
many of the more than one hundred artists  represented at the barbour
    show. Names like
    Georges Braque, Max Ernst,  Alexander
Calder and Salvador Dali, Robert Rauschenberg and Louise Nevelson and barbour

One hundred thirty of the rings, necklaces,
brooches are from the collection of art expert Diane Venet. She helped
    to set  up the exhibit.

      Ms. Venet
met French sculptor Bernar Venet about twenty-six years ago. A short
time  later, he gave her a piece of quilted
designed as a ring. The ring celebrated the fact that they would soon be  married. Ms. Venet said it was the first
    piece of barbour
    quilted jackets
artist’s jewelry she had ever had.

      As time
passed, Bernar Venet exchanged pieces with mens barbour
    artist friends
    who sometimes created jewelry.  Ms.
Venet’s personal collection grew and grew, and she decided to exhibit it  with works of barbour
    the other artists.

Hotchner is the director of the Museum   of Arts and Design. She  says the ladies barbour
considers jewelry as one of the most important forms of art today. She
notes  that a piece of jewelry
    kid’s barbour
is not  just a small version of a sculpture.

  • I wish the speaker on my gnex was loud enough to do that.

    Great commercial and funny

  • Normal

WOW what a useful feature, NOT.  Maybe soon it will read bed-time stories.  Who cares about video editing and stuff on a phone? geta life if these things are important to you! The only people who actually use their phones for editing videos are the idiots who put useless vids on YouTube that NOBODY cares about. Plus, The GN isnt even cool. Its the ICS everyone cares about.

  • @2ede4fd2918c279532692920e611f256:disqus   that I can make.. my classmate’s step-sister made $206008 so far just working on the laptop for a few hours. Read more on this web site…http://tiny.cc/z6r1s

  • EC8CH

Petty sure that first dude is on Disney’s Choo Choo Soul

  • Verizon has lowered their 4glte speed in my market. So much that a regular video call from Tango wont work without buffering.  So I have little hope that a 9 person video chat is possible. Verizon is just trying to get you to pay more for the faster speed. Using speedtest.net app, I was getting download and upload speeds of 29,000kbps on downloads and 10,000kbps on uploads. This was in June 2011.  Now, the most I’ve 7,500kbps on uploads and 1100kbps on uploads. Scam.

    • That likely has to do with more network traffic, not Verizon slowing speeds.  Then again, if you are using a ridiculous amount of data each month, they have stated that they will throttle your data.

      • Makr

Isn’t throttling only on 3G only phones?

  • Stating El Obvious

    horrifically bad commercial

  • Anonymous

    I thought this was a developer’s phone..

    • Anonymous

Well you’re an ignorant tard aren’t you? Oh look I believe in outdated social labels and am a borderline racist, cept I’m sure I won’t be called on it because I’ll use a half-assed cover up at the end…really dude? you thought that would work?
Also Looks like you totally ignored the fact there was also a white guy, an asian guy, and a hispanic guy in the same commercial but sure, they’re all black crap artists…
You have the right to not like beat boxing, but at least have the decency to not be such a douchebag about it…I never thought I’d say this to anyone but you make Galaxy Nexus fanboys look bad, and I wasn’t too high on them to begin with.

      • the suka was racist
        simple and plain
mannnn motherf*ck him and John Wayne.

  • Pointless ad is Pointless

That’s right, pander to the thugs. Normal, socially affluent people would never buy this phone, so why make commercials for them, right? Douche bags. The only thing I hate worse than demographic marketing is demographic marketing that makes me want to stay away from a product just to avoid the association.

    • Anonymous

I couldn’t have said it better. who the heck would wanna be associated with that!.. god I hate that commercial! All along I was thinking the Gnex is for nerds (which I am).. and now this cRAP!

      • Anonymous

I don’t understand this perspective at all.  I’d love for everyone to buy a Galaxy Nexus.  You don’t have to like the commercial, but appreciate that a serious Google-experience phone might appeal to a wide audience for a change.  That’s a good thing.

        • CSharp

Based on his other comment, his perspective is called racism.

    • Haha you “socially affluent” suburban white folk sure hate when those of us people of color from urban  communities get “pandered” to. Sorry not everyone who loves hip hop is a “thug” , actually white folk are the main consumers of hip hop… who do you think made Jay Z a nearly (or is nearly a?) billionaire? I have a college education, I listen to hip hop, I am not a thug. Kellen, judging from his music collection listens to hip hop, he is not a thug. Sir please dont make un-founded statements, which are based on your personal racist ideology.

      • Anonymous

        You’re funny.

        • You need to reevaluate your values.

          • Anonymous

Funny, I don’t remember attacking any individual, I don’t rememeber equating thug with a race (punk wannabes come in many flavors) and most importantly I don’t remember soliciting your opinion. Theres always somebody crying the race card, regardless of whether they can even define racism (usually not) and they’re usually the ones name calling and throwing around personal attacks. I don’t want to be associated with that type of element, regardless of how much money they con people out of, just based on the device I use. Same way I don’t want to be associated with the marketed version of an apple user. Go jump on another soapbox.

          • Lentil

Not everyone who beat boxes is a thug. That is prejudism.

          • EC8CH
        • Jovan Givens

          Do you speak ebonics MrEnglish?

          I couldn’t resist.

          • Anonymous

No. Not since they removed it from the curriculum. I’m looking forward to the “English as a second language” course though.

    • EC8CH

That first dude’s on the Disney channel beat boxing on the Choo Choo train.

If he is a thug he’s got street cred… Sesame street cred

  • Austin Coile

I thought the guy in the beginning was edbassmaster.

  • Anonymous

I think that’s a fantastic commercial.  Showing talented people having fun doing something unique with a Galaxy Nexus.  It will resonate.  I’m so glad this isn’t being marketed with some kind of sci-fi theme.  Mobile phone marketing needs to be personal . . . and this seems to hit the mark.

    • Sinister

“Talented”??? You probably think Justin Bieber is “talented” as well too.

      • Anonymous

Good one.  And yes, these guys are absolutely talented.  I’m surprised by the number of people disparaging the art form of beat boxing in these comments.  It’s a skill that takes practice, musical acuity, and physical control – and if you can combine those things and make the sounds and rhythms [the music] that these guys are making – then yes, you have talent.

You don’t have to like it – your tastes are your own.  But your tastes also have nothing to do with it.

  • Jacob

What’s with that orange Google+ icon at 0:29? I definitely prefer the current dark gray icon.

  • Anonymous

I suppose you can do that with any 4G phone that has a front camera….

    Cool ad anyway.

  • Dominick DeVito

Love this feature the phone has, because I have no rhythm.   :p

  • Joshua Dudash

     lol, love it.
(The headline, not the add so much.. still funny though)

Hmm… my comment “White dudes not invited.” got deleted?

  • they should have gotten Beardyman to do the beatboxing

  • Anonymous

Only 9? Google just split my crew right down the middle!

  • eddieonofre

why did they make this a G nexus exclusive?

    • Anonymous

I think you can do this on any Android phone with a front-facing camera, but I’m not sure. Hangouts may be ICS only.

  • *BOOM CHICKA BOOM BOOM … TSK TSK* yo, that is sick
*WIKI WIKI WIKI WIKI* gonna snatch this phone up real quick

  • NoFaith

Great…so this is what “average” people do with their phones these days? Pretend they’re Eminem? Yet another sign of the impending Apocalypse. Good riddance.

    • Anonymous

Go ahead and try to do what those guys are doing.  I could use a little comedy.  Absolutely nothing “average” happening in that video.

      • NoFaith

People who defend a commercial this unbelievably retarded and are going to “educate” others on how much of a “talent” this is…another sign of the apocalypse. Do the world a favor and go play in traffic.

    • Jjjjj

Wow, how bad is your frame of reference.  1.)There was nobody white in the ad. 2.)Beat Boxing has been around way before Eminem. 3.)Eminem is not a beat boxer. 4.)What makes them average?…….the paycheck they just made while holding a phone that many of us wish we had?

  • Hmm… the Nexus has that spit-resistant screen coating, right?

  • or orgy videos ty google

  • Greg Williams

All I gotta say is…it’s about damn time!

  • Ice456789

FINALLY! You guys don’t know how hard it’s been choosing just one member of my crew to beatbox with.

    • Anonymous

      I hate when that happens.

    • Thatsjared87

And you need at least 3 for a freestyle rap circle!

  • Anonymous

    White dudes not invited.

  • Haha Google is getting way better with their commercials so glad to see

I want this phone in my hand so I can auto tune like T-Pain!

I want this phone in my hand.

  • Lame

Uhhh…so there’s my first reason NOT to buy this phone. Just what I’ve always wanted…to look like a giant beat-boxing hipster douche. Great ad.

    • Art thou emotions irate?

      • JG

        Art thou bored?!

    • Mel Cali

did a giant beatboxing hipster douche bang your mom?

    • Goblueboy

All I got from that is that I can make a video chat with 9 different people, Awesome!

    • so someone with a Droid Bionic is automatically a Ninja?

      • Jeff

        Yes, Yes they are! lol

        • Anonymous

Sweet I can deal with that! lol.

    • Anonymous

      “hipster douche”

That’s actually the perfect definition for the group of Galaxy Nexus “fanatics” that make the majority(meaning the SANE ones) look bad.

    • Angryunibrow

Why is this guy punching his Nexus!!
