Zombie Driver Coming To Android, Optimized for Tegra 3 Devices – Can’t Get Here Soon Enough

The wait for Tegra 3 processors just got a bit more ‘deadly’.  The newest game from Exor Studios, Zombie Driver, uses the Tegra 3 chip to power a game filled with gore, fire, and awesome car races.  Think of PlayStation’s old Twisted Metal meeting zombie hordes.  That’s Zombie Driver.  Drive around reaching your destinations while running over, burning, and blowing up as many zombies as you can?  Sign us up.

Game features include:

  • Story mode with 31 missions, sub quests and bonus objectives in a huge, free roaming city, including:
    • Epic Boss fights with enormous mutated zombies
    • Defending key targets against huge waves of zombies
    • Racing against time to rescue survivors
    • Transporting dangerous cargo
    • Spraying anti-zombie repellent around town
    • 13 different vehicles to drive including a firetruck, bulldozer or even a tank
  • Blood Race mode with 30 unique events offering the best arcade racing experience in 3 distinct game types:
    • Race – classic racing spiced up with guns and loads of zombies
    • Eliminator – take down as many vehicles as you can before the time runs out
    • Endurance – there is a bomb on your car and its ticking. Race through checkpoints to extend your time
  • Slaughter mode with 7 survival arenas featuring enormous killing sprees and a dynamic upgrade system
    • 9 different upgrades which can transform even an innocent Taxi into a Chariot of Death.
    • Miniguns, flamethrowers, rocket launchers or even dual railguns.
    • Vicious zombie types including even zombie dogs.
    • Advanced, dynamic combo system with tricks and hordes of zombies to try it on.
    • PhysX by NVIDIA

The game looks really great with all of the different types of vehicles, weapons, and even those huge nasty ‘boss’ zombies.  Gross.  Come on Tegra 3 devices, hurry up and get here!

Yawn.  This game was average at best on the PC.

When can I play MW3 on my mobile Tegra 3 device and it sync with my PS3 that at home and turned off? I would gladly take my PS3 controller with me for this.

    • Justin Kos

i like to call it MW2.5, because thats really all it looks like to me sadly

  • The Walking Dead!

    • JimboJones

This is how the show should be!

  • This looks AMAZING! will it work on a tegra 2?

  • Bob Jackson

I’m still waiting for the grand theft auto game to be released on android. I know its not the same people making that game but this game reminded me of that for some reason

“DubbedZombie Driver HD, the game will be launched for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and Tegra 2 in late 2011.

The folks over at DroidGamers also
claim that the developers are also working on a Tegra 3 version of
Zombie Driver HD, but no additional details on the game’s release date
      surfaced yet.”

    • Nice, I hope its plays well

I own Zombie Driver on Steam. It’s actually quite the fun game…once you get around the learning curve.

But yeah, it’s fun..and I imagine it’ll be great on a Tegra 3 device, as well.

  • One more reason I can’t get my Transformer Prime soon enough.

  • TC Infantino

Wow, that looks totally awesome.  Yes I will be getting a tegra 3 tablet soon after I upgrade my phone, hopefully to the Droid4, but just maybe the Rezound.  I checked it out and it seems to be a seriously nice phone.

We’re still waiting on the Galaxy Nexus… *facepalm*

I think the first Tegra3 device will hit the market before the Galaxy Nexus.

In fact I think we’ll have small cold fusion reactors in our homes before the Galaxy Nexus hits the market. Don’t worry they won’t have NFC though so they’ll be a complete fail.

  • At this rate, in 5 years we won’t have dedicated gaming consoles. For on the go gaming, we’ll have tablets and smart/superphones. For gaming in the living room/bedroom, we’ll have Google TV (if Google are clever and put Tegra 3 or the new Qualcomm chips in the new Google TV hardware).

I can’t afford to keep up with Android devices now a days.
