Galaxy Nexus Image Points Towards November 10 Release?

After signing up for the latest info on the Galaxy Nexus on Verizon, you should have received an email back thanking you. If you view that email as a web page and then take a look at the image included specifically, you see what we have captured above. Now, we are clearly going all conspiracy theory on you since we can’t help but find ways to talk about the G-Nex, but that most definitely includes the numbers 11 and 10. 11/10? November 10? That would be the same date that we have shown you on multiple occasions in Verizon systems and MAP lists.

I wouldn’t go as far as saying that this “confirms” an 11/10 launch or anything, but it could be another sign as if there weren’t enough already. Oh, and the RAZR is most definitely launching on the 10th as well, plus HTC is going to announce the Rezound next week with a potential launch the following Thursday. Could Verizon really drop three of the biggest Android phones in history on the same day?

Cheers Arda!

The exhibit is  called "Picasso to Koons: Artist as
    Jeweler." You probably will
    recognize the names of
many of the more than one hundred artists  represented at the barbour
    show. Names like
    Georges Braque, Max Ernst,  Alexander
Calder and Salvador Dali, Robert Rauschenberg and Louise Nevelson and barbour

One hundred thirty of the rings, necklaces,
brooches are from the collection of art expert Diane Venet. She helped
    to set  up the exhibit.

      Ms. Venet
met French sculptor Bernar Venet about twenty-six years ago. A short
time  later, he gave her a piece of quilted
designed as a ring. The ring celebrated the fact that they would soon be  married. Ms. Venet said it was the first
    piece of barbour
    quilted jackets
artist’s jewelry she had ever had.

      As time
passed, Bernar Venet exchanged pieces with mens barbour
    artist friends
    who sometimes created jewelry.  Ms.
Venet’s personal collection grew and grew, and she decided to exhibit it  with works of barbour
    the other artists.

Hotchner is the director of the Museum   of Arts and Design. She  says the ladies barbour
considers jewelry as one of the most important forms of art today. She
notes  that a piece of jewelry
    kid’s barbour
is not  just a small version of a sculpture.

Must be a location-based URL because my URL doesn’t look anything like the one you posted.  When I clicked the “View online” link in the image it went to this URL:

  • ATC for All telecommunication channels?

  • eazy

NO NO clearly if you add up the letters for the NEXUS you get 11-10-11. Come on guys simple math

  • Anonymous

I bet that 11/10 is the pre-order date (like 10/27 was the pre-order date for the RAZR). If it is to be released on 11/10 then why haven’t they started pre-orders? Either way, it should be out sometime in November.

  • Matt2783

“Could Verizon really drop three of the biggest Android phones in history on the same day?”
I doubt it but I really, really hope so. That’d give me a chance to go and check them all out and decide which one I like the best rather than possibly buying the first one to be released because I need a replacement for my OG.

  • ” Could Verizon really drop three of the biggest Android phones in history on the same day?” that would be pretty epic.

Shut up and take my money already

  • joejoe509

Hmmm. Hardly a reliable source to base our faith on, but it certainly is another piece of the puzzle.

  • Jboogie1289

Not sure if any of you guys saw this already, but this is some of the most thorough videos on the GNex I’ve seen thus far. Too bad it’s in another language but let me tell you, this phone is crazy fast doing everything (and it shows some internet page loads, no lag and NOT choppy). I’m about to pass out waiting for a release date for this baby. I’m all in!!!!!!!!!!

  • I don’t know why folks think the GNex is going to be magically appear on the 10th.  I’d bet the pattern holds true.  The Razr went for preorder today and delivery in two weeks.  The MAP says 11/10 for the Nexus as it said 10/27 for the Razr.  So I’d expect 11/10 to be preorders and 11/17 for the ship by so it will be out for black friday

  • Anonymous

That’s not so bad, you’ll be in time to get the SGS3, the Razr2, or the Next Nexus of the best phone of that’s release in the summer or fall of 2012….lol

  • Excellent website. Lots of useful information here. I am sending it to a
few friends ans also sharing in delicious. And obviously, thanks for
    your effort!

  • yourmom

i have the MAP pricing showing nov 10…..

  • Jstew182

Are there any updates on the possibility of Verizon having the Droid Loyalty Program for people to upgrade early?! (or whatever the details of the program may be) I cant get a subsidized phone until next July and I cant wait that long.

  • SugaShane

I can’t get the inspector gadget theme out of my head!

  • FortitudineVincimus

wow… slow days when your grasping at straws like this

so I would love to know what you think is ECRM is?

    • Arda Akman

      ECRM: Electronic Customer Relationship Management

  • Bobjones

Per Verizon both the Nexus and Razr are a Nov. 10 Release

  • OK, so now its official that the Galaxy Nexus does not have Gorilla Glass. Odds are that it has the same glass that the Nexus S had. I have searched and not been able to find any drop test videos of the Nexus S.

Have any of you found some? if not perhaps someone is willing to sacrifice theirs to test. this could be very valuable information.

    • Bear0013

I think there was a post a samsungs facebook site or other…saying they another fortified glass……no name though

      • yes, they said fortified but that doesnt mean it can handle a drop.  the i*hone was supposed to have a glass made from the same techniques that corning uses to create gorilla glass but we all know how that turned out.

i am all about the galaxy nexus but i do drop my phone from time to time and i hate cases so i am a little worried about cracking this beautiful screen.

i might be in the market for a squaretrade warranty or something.

    • Who cares about Gorilla Glass.  It’s a brand name.  I think Samsung knows what their doing: http://www.samsungcorning.com/

    • Matt2783

Haha, good luck with that one.

  • Anonymous

This would be great just for the reason to eliminate the sniping at each other to wait for “their” phone.  Now we can all just be happy everyone will get what they want on 11/10, no reason to hate to make yourself feel better about having to wait for a phone.

  • Thatsjared87

It feels like I’m reading some crazy conspiracy theorist’s website; saying aliens exist, 911 was an inside job, Ron Paul, etc, except, you know, stuff here actually is proven to be right a lot.

    • Sinofue

Ron Paul rocks. The only guy with ideas that would actually make a (positive) difference in the direction of the country. Every single added spending bill in Congress right now is making things worse.

  • Anonymous

Verizon better have a good BOGO or BOGA on Black Friday for one of these 3 phones!

  • Dshudson

Besides ICS, this phone really isn’t earth shattering, not sure what all the hype is about, I am still on the Motorola DynaTAC 8000X and it work flawlessly. -Dan

    • ICS,  320ppi AMOLED screen (The first phone with this), clean look with no buttons, pure Nexus phone which means fast upgrades direct from Google, NFC, etc.

Oh, did I mention 320ppi AMOLED!!!  And don’t give me that “but it’s pentile” crap, I simply don’t care.

      • woosh!

      • Lambs312

but it’s pentile! LOL couldn’t resist. I will hold judgement till I actually see the screen, but for what I read from people who have actually held the phone, there is no bad mouthing, just a lot of “this screen is AMAZING”

    • Anonymous

Yeah, I wouldn’t trade that phone up for any of these.  You might loose it on the first day when it isn’t attached to a bag battery.

  • my guess is the 10th will be for pre-order and the 17 will be for release but I just reaching..

  • Anonymous

Three best Android phones in history….for 2 months. Just get an Android phone that fits your needs, many of them are good.

    • hatethanet

I must say the best Android phone in history is stuck in Korea at this point: The Galaxy S II HD LTE.

      • Anonymous

        He must mean state side……

  • Dominick DeVito

If the Panda said Nov 3rd for a pre-order than I would believe him.

  • I’m all for a good conspiracy, but this is a bit out there – as much as I’d like to believe the GNex will be out on 11/10, I have a feeling it’ll be closer to the end of November.  I hope I’m wrong, since my OG is begging to be replaced by this…

    • Dominick DeVito

I understand your pragmatism, but why would you think that exactly?

      • guest

Well the reason i would believe that is that VZW typically likes to put flag ship devices at least two weeks apart so that they don’t get stuck with a lot of returns.  i would love Gnex to come out 11/10 b/c then im trying both the razr and the Gnex.  That way i can have some real hands on time with both and decide which one to keep.  Obviously VZW doesn’t want people doing this, but if they released that close together i could.  Actually as a business account holder i have 30 days of worry free guarantee so i’ll prob still be able to do this anyways.

        • Dominick DeVito

I see, but let’s keep the faith.

    • Anonymous

Since there is an exclusive on this phone with Verizon and since it’s a new operating system, all parties want to get this phone released as soon as possible.

I don’t think it’s about any of the other phones releasing since Verizon doesn’t care what you buy. As long as you buy and lock into a data package contract. I’m sure it’s just a matter of wrapping up all loose ends and getting everything in place.

      • Matthewrsheridan

Verizon doesn’t care what you buy, but Motorola or HTC may have a contract with Verizon that says “Sell my phone first”

      • I agree, it makes sense to get this in people’s hands ASAP, but Amazon UK is showing the GNex as available on November 17th (http://phandroid.com/2011/10/27/samsung-galaxy-nexus-now-listed-as-available-nov-17-via-amazon-uk/), which is a Thursday, which matches Verizon’s typical phone launch day.  While it’s conceivable that the US will get it a week before European Markets, I don’t see it happening.

        • Anonymous

While I don’t want to wait an extra week, the 18th is my birthday so its all good!

    • Anonymous

Booth killed Lincoln, Oswald killed Kennedy, Obama was born in Hawaii (ehh maybe..ha ha), Gnex WILL be out 11/10.

  • Anonymous

Man now I know what those hypebeast whiners complain about…I just want the Nexus to come out so I can stop hearing about it!

  • So then what does A_T_C stand for?

    • magdelaine

From earlier comment: “At The Counter”? A guess anyway. Love it.

  • Anonymous

Does anyone know is it will be up for pre-order?

  • hatethanet

Is 11/10 the Galaxy Nexus’ release date or the pre-sale date like 10/27 is for the RAZR?

    • I’m wondering the same thing, but the truth is that no one knows.  We just have to all wait and see.

    • LiterofCola

If it follows what the released MAP stated, 11/10 should be the pre-order day

  • Mr_Snrub

Uh oh.  The RAZR, Rezound, and Galaxy Nexus all in the same day?  I sense a lot more Droid on Droid violence to come.

  • Trdracer21

    nice cant wait saving pennies

3 phones released on the same day would seem to leave the door wide open for people to use the 14 day return window to swap out the phone they bought for one of the others.

    • Jarred Sutherland

This news story, plus this post make the “I WONT UPGRADE” ad that was running on the main page even more hilarious.

    • Anonymous

Yeah, but you only get one freebie if I remember correctly.

  • When I tried it the numbers in the address said 7_0_9.  Does that mean that the GNex has been out for over two years?  Very sneaky VZW.

    • Awesome

    • JCZ

      I get the same.

    • Anonymous

I got the same 11_A_T_C_10 on my email as Kellex, so who knows. This is pretty conspiracy theory-ish, but I’ll take any news I can get on the Galaxy Nexus 🙂

      • I’m right there with you. 🙂

      • Alex

It stands for October / 2011.. It is a date format they sort their images for email campaigns..  It has nothing todo with the launch date.

See previous promotions for prior art:  https://email.vzwshop.com/servlet/website/ResponseForm?OSPEUU_9_9_z_TV_1u9.40_zJohsHklopiEyb07D.3dy.26.26uFu.3d9D9vf

  • Nice conspiracy theory.  I hope it is right. Unfortunately for me, I won’t be around to get any of them for a few days.  At least when I do get to a VZW store, it will be less crowded and I can compare them side by side.

Wow Kellex, didn’t expect to see a post this early. NICE!

    • bigrob60

True that. I check here every morning out of habit & sometimes I get surprised.

    • Anonymous

i always have to wait until practically lunch  time for something good!

  • Anonymous

Here’s furthering your “conspiracy theory” approach to this interpretation: “11_A_T_C_10,” ATC could = “At The Counter.” Or, in other words, maybe we’re still looking at preordering on the 3rd and picking it up in stores on the 10th? I know I know, it’s a longshot, but hey, here’s to hoping!

    • Dominick DeVito

I sure do like your theory!

    • Anonymous

      All To Coincidental?

If all three phones are released on 11/10 that should be Verizon’s biggest day yet. Will be interesting in how the LTE network stands up to the load.

    • Anonymous

About the same way your mom stands up to my load.

      • Anonymous

        She’s a real trooper.

      •  I heard his mom doesn’t do small jobs.  What are you doing there?

  • John

holidays are coming up so i wouldn’t be too surprised. it’ll give vzw plenty of time to market the shit out of em

  • Thelegendofdavid

I think I just creamed my pants. Nexus all the way!!!! I want truesupport on my phone… And googles phone is the only way to go now

  • I dunno bud.  For me the vigor/razr aren’t in the same league as the nexus.  But I know verizon likes to give every manufacturer a chance.  It doesn’t seem that far fetched.

    • Dominick DeVito

Agreed – I think once the G-Nex is out everyone will see how much better it is –

nice hardware + entirely new OS = huge difference.

Verizon is in desparate need of a non-Droid branded device. Moto’s getting too industrial, we don’t all want to be Batman

      • Anonymous

In all honesty, I think they are just ready to finally be known as the carrier with a lot of really great phone choices.  I mean the Nexus, Razr, and Rezound all have dual-core and LTE, no other U.S. carrier can say they have 4 dual-core LTE phones to choose from.  It took them a little while because of their LTE rollout, but I think Verizon is finally rising to the top in every way.

        • Dominick DeVito

Agreed, it’s nice to see VZW start to be (almost) worth the price

      • My problem with Moto is not the look (I would LOVE to be Batman). No, its the locked bootloaders. Nobody else is doing it, carriers aren’t mandating it. Its utterly weird and control-freaky (the same reason I refuse to buy an Apple product).
