Google Wallet Rumored To Launch Today, Only Working For Sprint’s Nexus S 4G For Now

The highly anticipated Google Wallet is said to launch today, but most consumers won’t be able to enjoy it for a while. The service by Google will launch with only one supported device – the Nexus S 4G on Sprint, so Verizon customers will have to wait a bit longer if they plan on using it. What a tease, Google.

Google Wallet is the beginning of the future, where people won’t need to carry all their cards with them anymore. All the info is stored right on your phone and you are able to pay for everything via NFC technology. Users can also buy pre-paid Google cards if they do not have a partnering bank’s (Citibank) card services. We would like to point out that Verizon’s rumored ‘Galaxy Nexus‘ will more than likely be coming with NFC, so rest assured that Verizon will be getting some Wallet love.

Is Google Wallet going to make consumers switch banks for this service possibly? Let’s hope Google gets some more partners on board, and quick. Here is a humorous video of Google’s first Wallet customer:

    New World Order?

  • My spouse and i felt very contented that Albert managed to carry out his analysis via the ideas he grabbed out of your web page. It’s not at all simplistic just to find yourself giving freely information other people could have been trying to sell. Therefore we recognize we have you to be grateful to for that. The type of illustrations you made, the simple web site menu, the friendships you will make it easier to instill – it’s got all astounding, and it’s really helping our son and our family feel that that situation is awesome, which is particularly indispensable. Thank you for everything!

great article,I just got a $827.89 iPad2 for only $103.37 and my mom got a $1499.99 HTV for only $251.92, they are both coming tomorrow. I would be an idiot to ever pay full retail prîces at places like Walmart or Bestbuy. I sold a 37″ HTV to my boss for $600 that I only paid $78.24 for. I use GrаbPenny.сom

Not to change subject here, but what’s with Tom (http://twitter.com/#!/tfleming223) indicating that there will be a keyboard with the nexus? Is that possible on 4.65″ screen…please tell me this is not true!
