Google Weather Becomes More “Fun” in Mobile Browser

Google announced earlier today that cloud printing was coming to your mobile browser, but apparently they didn’t want to stop there.  Just a couple of hours later, they informed the world that the weather experience in Google Search would be much more appealing and interactive.  All you have to do is search “weather” from google.com on your phone’s browser and you’ll be enjoying hour-by-hour temperatures in no time.  A fancy little scroll bar is now included to give you all of the weather prep you’ll ever need.  Fun!

This (or a version of it) has been available for a couple of weeks, at least. I ran across it by accident while voice searching for weather in another city (ex. “new york weather”)

That is a really cool way to get my weather that I didn’t know about until now. Although sliding the button over to look at different times of the day is kind of annoying, at least it is in Dolphin Browser HD, because the page keeps trying to slide over to the Dolphin options on the left and right side of the page.

I got an app for that.

Nice! Just wish the slider feature worked on locations outside the US but otherwise very nice indeed.

The Google news & weather app already looks like this. I check it every morning when I check my news.

Same here. The slider bar makes it more obvious, though. Also, it’s nice to see more than four days into the future.

Is there a reason why this isn’t just an app Google?

This is essentially the same as the app. The app has been around since 2.0 or 2.1.

Yeah I couldn’t agree more. To have this as a widget, would especially be more efficient.
