DROID2 Global VZ Navigator Available in the Market Now

We dropped November 11th on you a while ago as a release date for the Droid 2 Global, and it looks like we just took a step closer with an appearance of its VZ Navigator app on the Android market.  With the original Droid 2 now hitting “discontinued” status from a variety of retailers, it should only be a matter of days before Verizon makes this global version official.

Cheers Timothy!

I can see this being a sign that VZW will be blocking maps in the future.

Verizon pushes this overpriced useless app by preinstalling it…

We root our phones and forcibly uninstall it…

Thereby restoring balance to the force.

For $4.99 a month you can use a fantastic voice search feature on your Android phone! Just long press on the search key. Now send your 4.99 a month to my house.

I love this post – totally kewl!!! Well done! I’m coming back to this one …

  • Chasemanhattan

I think instead of buying this I'll just send Verizon my bank account and routing number so they can just pull money out of my account at will. As long as they say it's for a good reason, I'm ok with it.

In other news, we now have an app that can give us generalized estimates on stupid people. Will it reach over 250,000? Only time will tell….

  • Her is another image without watermark 🙂

  • google maps already was giving traffic updates an all..but this one appears to be with some more updated options…

  • John

    most.. useless.. app.. ever.

  • LOL @ 9.99

  • MM

Seriously, If you are stupid enough to pay 9.99 a month for this, please send me your email address. I have some more crap I would be willing to sell you. I will only charge yo 5.99 a month.

  • One can't help but question VZW's sanity here. FREE is the only price that works for VZN.

  • How is this any better than Google maps? Doesn't Google maps already do most or all of this for free?

  • Keith

why would anyone pay for VZ navigator when Android comes with a good navigation app that's FREE????

    • Not sure on that. Doesn't make any sense, which is probably why people will still get it and use it.

    • KleenDroid

There will be plenty of people that simply don't know any better. It happens… I've met people with Droid 1's that didn't even know how to use anything other than making calls and loading apps.

I think it is wrong of Verizon taking advantage of the women who don't know this function is stock.

      • Chasemanhattan

No! You are wrong! Women always have their high tech gear figured out immediately!

  • Tkampka

its just something about the word “GLOBAL” that makes me raise my eyebrow!

    • Towelie420

Yeah, who the hell would want to travel to a foreign country when there is so much to see right here in the greatest country in the world? If you really want to hang out with impoverished foreigners that badly just go to the ghetto.

      • Kierra

really?…You need to take a long look at yourself man , dont be the Ugly American 🙂

        • Towelie420

okay, I'll be a Sexy American then. Lmao. Sorrrrry Mr. Globetrotter.

  • Sboman32

    I win!

  • tjpeco

Now I can download a buggier, shittier version of the software that comes with android!

    gg Verizon. You're dumb.
