If you didn’t buy a Pixel 11 series phone before today, you missed out on the higher trade-in values that Google was offering through the Google Store. We’re now a full week out from launch day and Google told us that yesterday was the final day to get those higher values and their launch promos.
Even so, if you missed out, there’s still good reason to purchase a Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, or Pixel 11 Pro Fold. We have reviews up for the Pixel 11 (here) and Pixel 11 Pro / 11 Pro XL (here) if you need help deciding, but really all you need to know is that these are really nice devices, they just aren’t the upgrade option for everyone.
Who should upgrade to the Pixel 11 series?
For those who happen to have an older device, like the Pixel 8 Pro or Pixel 7 Pro, it’s probably going to be worth considering a Pixel 11 device. There are so many big upgrades over those phones. Basically, from top to bottom, the Pixel 11 Pro models are improved. The design and hardware is nicer, the cameras are massive upgrades, they’ll get support for years and years to come, and they are the future of whatever Google cooks up for software.
For Pixel 9 Pro owners, we’re probably also getting to the point where it might be time to get camera and performance upgrades, which the Pixel 11 Pro models have. The new chips in the Pixel 11 series are greatly improved (both in power and efficiency), plus the new camera is our current favorite.
For Pixel 10 Pro owners, this would be a tough sell – your device is perfectly fine. It also might have more RAM than the similar Pixel 11 Pro counterpart. Unless you really need the new camera sensors found in the Pixel 11 Pro or think your life will change with faster Night Sight processing, I think your Pixel 10 Pro will still be god for many more years.
Pixel 11 trade-in values today
So if you are in the market to upgrade to a Pixel 11 series, below are the updated trade-in values that the Google Store is currently offering for any of the Pixel 11 devices.
| Trade Value | Device |
| $850 | Pixel 10 Pro Fold |
| $650 | Pixel 10 Pro XL |
| $630 | Pixel 9 Pro Fold |
| $550 | Pixel 10 Pro |
| $500 | Pixel 9 Pro XL |
| $480 | Pixel 9 Pro |
| $460 | Pixel 10 |
| $450 | Pixel Fold |
| $420 | Pixel 8 Pro |
| $350 | Pixel 9 |
| $340 | Pixel 7 Pro |
For comparison, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold was fetching $1,000 just yesterday. The Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold were both up to $700. All of these values are down from where they were yesterday, although they still seem solid. $420 for a Pixel 8 Pro actually feels like a really good deal.
