LG began to tease the G2 Mini earlier this month, but that’s as far as they got – just teasing. There were no confirmed specs or release dates, so the industry only had speculation to work with. Today, reported specs are being confirmed by overseas sources, with LG apparently revealing that the device will launch overseas in March. (more…)
Last week, LG announced the G Pro 2, the followup device to last year’s G Pro. On paper, the G Pro 2 is marked high enough to be a flagship device from LG, with a Snapdragon 800 processor, 5.9″ 1080p display, 4K video recording, and much more, but there was one feature that LG decided to save until a press event to really dive into. This evening, LG went ahead and unveiled its new tablet-phone hybrid, the G Pro 2. The phone is the follow-up to last year’s G Pro, which was largely thought of as a solid competitor to Samsung’s Galaxy Note line. With the 2, we’re looking at upgraded specs in all the right places, along with an insane 77.2 percent screen-to-frame ratio. (more…)
One-upsmanship is one word for a wonderfully vague press release highlighting two features of the upcoming G Pro 2. Another is desperation, but I’ll leave it to you to decide which.
In a press release not-so-subtly timed to draw attention away from Samsung’s announcement of a February press conference, LG focused on the unique camera features of the company’s upcoming phablet, the G Pro 2. One, dubbed “OIS plus,” is an enhanced version of the optical image stabilization found in the G2. LG said this new solution improves upon the original by pairing better hardware with software that eliminates tremors, resulting in a smoother image. The new setup also enhances low-light performance, the company said. (more…)
LG made the G Pro 2 official on Monday of this week, but like typical LG, all they did was confirm the name. The OEM gave us no pictures, specs, or anything to feed our addicition for new phones. Thankfully, two photos have been leaked, showcasing one of the newest flagship devices from the maker. (more…)
LG announced the G Pro 2 this morning, but decided to troll a little bit and not talk about any of the device’s specs or even post a picture. Reports of the device first showed up back on the 23rd of January, and instead of letting the industry continue to speculate, it appears LG wanted to make the device official. But again, LG gave us no specs or pictures. (more…)
According to Korean media, LG will introduce the G Pro 2 next month at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. As you may recall, they introduced the original G Pro (“Optimus” G Pro) in February of last year, so if we’re talking yearly cycles of phones, the time frame certainly matches up. Last year’s G Pro sort of skated under the radar, even though it featured a 5.5-inch 1080p display and was mostly a beast in terms of specs. Then again, LG has almost always tried to pack in top-of-the-line specs, yet has struggled to grab much of the Android market share. (more…)
