Deal: Samsung Galaxy Note PRO 12.2 for $479, Regularly $699

Samsung’s massive 12.2-inch tablet, the Galaxy Note PRO 12.2, which was introduced at CES, is available through a daily deal today on eBay for $479.99. The tablet, thanks to its massive 2560×1600 display, typically runs anywhere from $650-700 when brand new at retailers like Amazon or Best Buy. A discount of close to $200 isn’t a bad deal, especially when you think of the entire package here.

The Note PRO line was Samsung’s top-of-the-line series of tablets until the recently introduced Galaxy Tab S line became official, so they are still quite capable. Outside of the high-res 12.2-inch display, the Note PRO 12.2 also features an Exynos 5 Octa processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage, micro SD expansion, 8MP/2MP cameras, 9,500mAh battery and an S Pen. You also get Samsung’s vision for tablet productivity, with features like Multi Window, Multi User Mode, Samsung KNOX, and a bunch of “business” apps.

Today’s deal is for a “manufacturer refurbished” Note PRO 12.2 in either black or white.

This new iPad Air 2 sounds so cool. I’m going to have to sell my old iPad. I just found this site that compares all the buyback companies in one spot and shows the highest offers, it’s called RecomHub,

Saved me a lot of time instead of search about 13 different sites

    10 bucks more on groupon.

I have an iPad Air and the Note Pro, I prefer to use the Note Pro for work and iPad for recreation. I tried to use my iPad for work and I just couldn’t get in to it. Perhaps it’s the fact that the company paid for the Note Pro that sways my decision but in all fairness they would’ve paid for any tablet I wanted but I rolled the dice on Note Pro and have been happy ever since.

Physical button… i would pass if this thing was free

These have microUSB 3.0 and 32GB storage standard and you can get a 64GB version…..so, still superior in some ways to the Tab S if you can live with a little more bulk and a less vibrant screen, especially if you want to store a lot of stuff and/or move it on and off the tablet speedily. I think I read that there is a BB-exclusive 32GB Tab S coming soon but only for the 10.5″ version.

Um that’s the only apple product I’ll ever own besides a MacBook.

Another thing to add, android tablets lose their value at a faster rate than iPad tablets do. If you owned an iPad Air you could still sell if for close to what you paid for it a year later. Then you would be buying the iPad Air 2 for the difference in the selling price of your original iPad and a new purchase of the iPad Air 2. This make upgrading much less expensive, with the added bonus of having an apple product. IMO the Nexus 7 (2014) is the only android tablet worth buying right now.

Wasn’t this offered at $399 a couple weeks ago refurb? Anyway, I tried it at BB after that deal since I’m in the market for a 10″+ tablet. The size is excellent for a lap/couch tablet. Unfortunately, there is a bit of UI lag when scrolling due to driving touchwiz and the massive resolution. Not excessive, but noticeable. App launches were also not lightning fast compared to some recent halo smartphones.

The problem is the Exynos processor. I had the Note 10.1 2014 and it lagged as well. The Snapdragon versions are much smoother.

      • hkklife

To date I believe the Sony Z2 tablet is the ONLY tablet on the market (at least in the US and it’s barely available at that) with a Snapdragon 801. Heck, there are only a handful of Snapdragon 800-based tablets out there. I’m sick of flagship phones having specs that are so far superior to flagship tablets! I’m also sick of tablets without Qi wireless charging. Consider me very spoiled by the N7 2013…

It has been in that $400 for non-Samsung refurbished, basically cleaned and tested… BuyDig.com was selling Samsung refurbished ones for $449 two weeks ago, I got one then. I have used the heck out of it for over a week, including playing games, and have noticed NO lag at all except under TouchWiz in the launcher itself. I have heard others complain of lag on this tablet, but I have not seen any real lag at all.

i thought the 399 deal was for a Galaxy TAB Pro 12.2, not the Note…but i could be mistaken.

      • hkklife

It was a Tab Pro deal, yup. I think the new 10.5″ Tab S is the sweet spot for a lap/couch tablet. 12’2″ is just too awkward for use with one hand or for book reading.
