LG G2 Update on Sprint Activates Spark Connectivity, Fixes Hangouts Issue

A new update for the LG G2 on Sprint brings Spark connectivity, which should increase the speed of data that is being sent to and from the device. Software version ZVA also brings fixes for Google Hangout issues which pertain to voicemail and MMS messages, but that’s about it.

For Sprint users who live in a 4G LTE area that can connect to Spark, this should be great news.

The update is rolling out in stages, so if you haven’t seen the prompt yet, remain patient.

So instead of 300 kbps we get so called 4G at 4mbps. woo. Sad to think they might end up buying tmobile

  • Ron_Swanson

I am just wondering what state you live. Want to know where the update starting so i estimate the time it will take to get to illinois

Missouri is almost last for every update in the states it seems between myself and my friends and we are all on vzw, att, and sprint. But sprint is fastest for updates over the other 2 carries here by a month ahead. My friend gets sprint updates from 3-6 weeks after I read them here on DL, just for sprint.

I updated it and my data and signal keeps on getting cut -.-

  • Is it true that the animated spinning star stays on even if you aren’t in a spark area?

    • vlad

On the htc one it has spinning star even on normal LTE. But idk about LG G2

      • vlad

        *Htc one max sorry

  • joejoe5709

Whew! Almost got me there! Anything with LG G2 and Update in the title gets me all excited.

This is a bigger deal than KK for Sprint owners who have Spark in their area….a way bigger deal.

  • Tony G.

ugh, what about nexus 5 on sprint?

  • Thomas O’Brien

If only the Verizon G2 could get some KK love…

I was expecting this comment to be posted.

True…had to throw it out there…most of the ROMs are still a little unstable…otherwise no one would care…

Loving my Verizon G2 the way it is. No point to keep complaining about 4.4.2. Maybe 4.5 or 5.0.

Everyone wants the latest and greatest…

I know most people love the stock rom, but Paranoid Android (4.4.2) has been my daily driver for a month or so. A random reboot every day or two but other than that pretty nice.

      • James Hill

        Because random reboots are OK?

        • WCM3

When you like stock android 100x more than a skin, yes, a few random reboots are ok.

I just want an update to fix the GPS connectivity issues…
