Google+ Updated, Support for Adding Links to Posts and New Notification Tray

Seeing as how Google+ is now the world’s second largest social network, topping Twitter and YouTube this week, it’s about time we see some fancy improvements to the app, right? This update doesn’t bring anything too fancy, but you can now add links to new posts, there is a new notification tray, and additional Community moderation controls.

What’s in this version:

  • Support for adding a link when creating a post
  • New notifications tray
  • Additional Community moderation features

Go grab it.

  • Has anyone else had issues with doing hangouts on the app? It crashes all the time and they you can’t go back in because something went wrong.

  • People need to stop perpetuating this “Google+ is the World’s second-largest social network” BS. It most certainly is not, regardless of how the folks at Google have linked it dubiously to normal Gmail activities so as to make many Gmail users Google+ users for purposes of this ridiculous statement. Google+_ is an utter fail and it isn’t even CLOSE to the “second=largest social network.” Yeesh…

The links issue has been complained about quite a bit, glad to see that fixed! These last 2 updates have been nice.

I’ve always thought it was dumb to put the notifications with the menu. Now I have no complaints with the G+ app.
