Daily Steals Offering a Number of Android Devices at Discounts: Galaxy Nexus, Padfone 2, Xyboard, and More

daily steals

Still trying to decide what to spend all of that holiday cash on? Feel free to cruise over to Daily Steals‘ “Everything Must Go” sale for options. They have a number of Android products, from phones to tablets to docks to media players, all at what they are claiming to be steep discounts. While some of them may be, it’s probably worth noting that these deal sites exaggerate most of their discounts (take the Padfone 2 discount for example), so shopping around is always a smart idea.

Here are some of their sales:

  • Galaxy Nexus 4G LTE (re-certified) – $220 off-contract
  • Motorola Xyboard 4G LTE 32GB – $299
  • Motorola Xyboard 4G LTE 64GB – $349
  • Asus Padfone 2 16GB w/ Dock – $749
  • Motorola Lapdock 100 – $49
  • Samsung Galaxy Player 16GB – $129 (might be sold out)

I had been weighing up getting a galaxy nexus for ages. I read dozens of reviews and this one was useful http://search4reviews.net/ , I received my order last week and am very happy. I Would highly recommend to anyone still unsure

  • alikkuswara

Visit http://padfoneasus.com/ find out where to get best price and deals for Asus PadFone 2

  • scapalexis

Thinking about getting a gnex from them, but am reading mixed reviews about the site. Anyone had any experience with them?

    • Bought one with the Amex in December. Transaction was just fine.
Used the Amex since it offers an additional year on the warranty.
Holster that with VZW’s open enrollment in the $6.99/month Asurion insurance plan, and I have a pretty good deal, imo.

  • Teng Taing

i got my wifi Xoom from one of these sites for $200. Still going strong. If it wasnt for the Nexus 10 that my wife got me, Ide still be using it. I have since passed it down to my daughter

  • stabone

I just ordered the lapdock. It doesn’t look too bad, and having only a desktop at home, It’ll really help.

  • grumpypants

These items aren’t very good deals and, in my opinion, not worthy of posting on DL.

    • DS is a terrible site with terrible service. You have been warned.

      • I got a fake sandisk card from them once. if nothing else, i assume these things will be harder to kirf

    • mustbepbs

You’ll rarely find a good “deal” from any of those sites. I bought a $35 bed in a bag “deal” set, and it was absolutely garbage. I mean, yeah, you get what you pay for.

  • El Big CHRIS

I thought the padfone couldnt be used on any US carrier that matters? Too bad, the idea was awesome.

  • I kinda want a padfone to try but not for that price.

    • michael arazan

That deal looks like full price, I wonder which carrier the padfone works with in the US, if any

  • Silver Veloz

I still think the Asus Padfone 2 is awesome, but wasn’t it determined that it couldn’t be used in the U.S with a carrier?? or something like that.

    • I would imagine it has gsm capability.

  • strozykowski

I have a LapDock (the Droid Bionic version) that works with my Photon 4G, but after switching to CyanogenMOD 10, I’ve left WebTop behind.

The original implementation leaves A LOT to be desired, but here’s hoping that by the time I’m ready to upgrade my phone, someone pushes out a decent replacement for the old Photon, and I can dust off the LapDock and pull it off the shelf with some actual use.

    • Droidzilla

The LapDock they had in the ICS release for the RAZR was actually quite nice; basically what it should have been from the get go.

      • strozykowski

That would be the sort of environment I would love to have for use with the LapDock.

Does anyone know of a similar project to allow that sort of functionality with CM10?

        • Droidzilla

I haven’t heard of anything, but my opinion is that CM needs to work with Canonical to get their desktop Ubuntu Android distro in the mix. Android unplugged, Ubuntu plugged in. Best of both worlds of Linux!

  • Octotron

I need to know how much that sewing kit in the picture is, Kellex.

    • It should be $9.80 if it is 80% off of $49.

      • Octotron

I was kind of being facetious.. 🙂

      • PhoenixPath

What carrier is that on though?

        • Probably not Verizon. There are too many colors for them.

  • mustbepbs

That Batphone 2 looks so awesome..and the price is pretty good considering what it is.

    • Daistaar

I was really hoping someone would say it! It’s now and forever Asus Badphone!

      • mustbepbs

I was sure this comment was going to the top, since the last we heard of the Padphone 2, they called it the Batphone in the video.

        ‘Tis a shame.

  • Octotron

Xyboard for that price doesn’t sound too shabby…

    • hkklife

I thought the same thing initially, as I have been contemplating a cheap 10″ tablet go replace my Acer Iconia A500, but I quicklg remembered the Xyboards will never see JB (only ICS) so I decided to pass.

Better hold out for an Asus Transformer or Nexus 10 deal instead.
