Samsung Tells Us to “Get Ready” for CES, They Have “Something New” to Show Off

YouTube Preview Image

CES, the biggest electronics conference in the world, is a month away from going down in Las Vegas. We’ll be there, of course, but each year around this time we start to wonder what we’ll see at the show. Our first couple of years attending, it was filled with the first dual-core processor and 4G LTE phones and tablets. The last year, it was sort of a dud, with nothing major happening as companies waited for other conferences or their own private launch events. So, what about this year?

At this point, CES is still mostly a mystery. What we do know, is that Samsung is teasing “something new” and telling us to “get ready.” Now, keep in mind that Samsung tends to show off new appliances, TVs, and cameras to go along with their mobile products, so this may not mean much to us. We’ll know shortly, but in the mean time, feel free to drop your predictions below. Oh, and don’t think for a second that we’ll be seeing the Galaxy S4. Samsung will hold their own press event for a product that large.

I’m thinking this could also be a Tizen device, as those are supposed to start coming in Q1 2013. But oh well, let’s wait and see.

The world waits, for something new, that in 3 months of release it will be running on an out of date software. I had the sgs3 and hated it, for the mere fact it wasn’t a Nexus (everythign about a nexus is amazing)

  • RW-1

The flexible displays? That would knock over quite a lot if workable …

  • SchwannyT

Is it a case for the Nexus, Nexus 10? That would be something they’ve never done before!

    Flexible AMOLED Screen!!!!

  • AJA0

If they announce a sequel to the Note 2 already.. Oh Lord. I have only had this thing for 2 days and I’m tired of my electronics going obsolete as soon as I purchase them.

I thought the Mayan calendar said something about 12-12-12…are we gonna be here to even witness this awesomeness…lol

    • Ibrick

Get ready for more plastic? I hope that Samsung steps up with materials for its phones — at least for the high-end/hero devices.

Samsung has a proclivity for going big,but it would be nice to see the company put out a more modestly-sized device (4 – 4.3″ screen) without give it mid-range specs.

  • MooleyBooleyTroll

    Who cares.. It’s Samsung crap…
/me waits for all the Samsung sheep down votes :)

    • http://www.matthewdlyons.com/ matthewdlyons

Perhaps down votes will come from people who are, on general principal, opposed to comment/flame baiting and snark.

      • MooleyBooleyTroll

Luckily my comment was none of those :)

  • John

Probably a new galaxy tab. Can’t say their tablet line is competitive outside of the Gnex10

  • John Mozelewski

who cares i got mynote 2

If its a phone, I hope its a Galaxy S Maxx (for lack of a better term) its really the only thing missing. Otherwise I’ll have to pick up the GSM Maxx :/

There’s always something bigger and better around the corner….

Im leaning towards the rebranding. because of the lack of a logo in the video

  • guest

I think they are releasing a movie soon

  • crazysamz

New Samsung logo they’ve been rumored to replace?

    • http://www.facebook.com/kenny.schefer Kenny Schefer

Oh man, that’d totally be worth the wait

      • michael arazan

I hope the new logo is a worm, because they eat apples. Probably the new flexo amoled screen that will revolutionize screens from ever breaking again

  • onDroid

    An Android toaster-oven

    • ddevito

      +1 LOL

    • Butters619

As long as it supports the Google Play Store (either directly or through root/sideload)

      • onDroid

It’ll probably only be able to make gingerbread though.

      • raoul duke

        top loaded

The fact that a Galaxy T is nowhere outside the realm of possibility kinda terrifies me.

    • Murphy

As long as it can cook some ROMs

      • daryle barden jr

Gotta say this one made me laugh. Haha

      • Elliot Kotis

And if it has project butter.

    • PhoenixPath

Only if the toast is extra buttery.

  • http://twitter.com/jeffaye Jeff Ayers

Can’t wait for the new Galaxy washing machine HD series

  • ddevito

    CheeseWiz 2.0

    • Brent Cooper

      Lol… Literal lol :)

    • Warwick

      Im all in on this!

  • Bionic

    The Samsung Galaxy dildo

    • http://randomphantasmagoria.com/ Shawn

That’d be a good way to target the female audience. Vibrates, and you can update Facebook while rubbing one out.

      • Bionic

        Camera included for self shots.

        • http://randomphantasmagoria.com/ Shawn

          Sure, why not.

          • Bionic

And it uses the “touchjizz” operating system skin.

      • nightscout13

You’d be surprised how many men use dildos too. I work in an ER, and plenty of men come in with dildos lodged in their guts.

        • http://randomphantasmagoria.com/ Shawn

Hey, we all have to get our jollies somehow right?! hahahaha

          • nightscout13

            Different strokes for different folks…..

  • S2556

    might be a rebranding

  • Detonation

It will probably be “the next big thing”

  • Robhimself79

Its Samsung there will always be something new. Wake me up for the gs4
