CyanogenMod Team Listing Features That Are Good to Go for CM10

If you just can’t wait to get your hands on CM10 and need to know what to expect already, then this may keep you happy for at least the next few days. The CyanogenMod team posted some of the custom features that have already been committed to the CM10 build and they are as follows:

  • Power menu Reboot
  • Power menu screenshot
  • Profiles
  • Lock screen Calendar
  • Lock screen Weather
  • Notification light customization
  • Battery light customization
  • IME Selector notification toggle
  • and a few more things to support Settings

Well, this is starting to sound awesome. This is already a good start, but you can rest assured that there will be even more custom features added before we see an official release candidate. Is there a certain feature that didn’t appear on this list that you want to make sure gets into a final release? My fingers are crossed for toggles in the notification bar. Exciting times for the Android hacker in all of us.

    How about, ‘will support thunderbolt’…

  • erth

i need the volume rocker skip tracks mod, it’s what i’m missing with all the jellybean builds

    • otter34

There are two that have them and a dev said it’s an easy mod to make so I’m hopeful. Check xenon.

I also need long press back to kill and the power toggles. I’ll stay on ICS until these are all available

  • Gritchu

I wish CyanogenMod supported the Razr.

  • this.

  • dodger55fan

I would love to see them bring back the lock screen (lockscreen?) gestures from CM7 – That was THE best feature ever in any ROM in my opinion, and I really miss it.

Im sorry im kinna new here and i am jw what is this? What willbit do for my phone

  • Joe

Wow, notification light customization, now THAT was one huge thing missing in CM9. Of course I’ve gotten quite used to using Lightflow, and have liked it, but there’s nothing like full native functionality as opposed to relying on an app.

    • Ethan

I’m running CM9 RC1 on my VZW Gnex and it has built-in notification light customization.

    • Detonation

Even with native functionality I still use Light Flow. More options and customization, and it was just updated to work properly with JB now.

    • Josh Nichols

What are you talking about? CM9 on my S3 had notification light customization.. if I wasn’t on CM10 I would screenshot it for you but it was definitely there.

  • Teabling

I haven’t been able to get FoxFi to work in BB 7-14 so I have been using the built in one for now. is there going to be anything like that maybe?

  • bose301s

Waiting for the Toggles, hopefully they get the flashlight toggle into JB, I really missed that in CM9 actually.

    • MrRageQuit

They do have toggles in CM9 including the flashlight. To change the buttons go to Settings then choose System then press Notification drawer and you’ll see the option for Widget buttons.

      • Nancy Botwin…..

      • bose301s

I know, I use them all the time, except the LED Flashlight option is grayed out in the G Nex.

why wouldn’t they have notification toggles? that’d be like heresy for CM, wouldn’t it? i wouldn’t use it. it actually makes me sad that i wasn’t really excited about CM9 when the release candidate hit either. too spoiled by gummy.

    • Justin

Well Idk maybe they just haven’t gotten to it yet? Does it say anywhere on this post that this is a finished product? No. The source was just released, give them some time for crying out loud.

      • moelsen8

i was merely talking to the this sentence from the article, not expecting that they’d have everything in already. read first.
“My fingers are crossed for toggles in the notification bar.”

I think it will be very cool if CM were integrating with Ubuntu for Android. Or do something like Webtop for phones (or mini PCs aka MK802) with HDMI.

  • I’d really like to see a port for the Huawei U8800 (not the -pro version)

  • WalCs

Every time I read a post about CM10 on my phone, my Verizon SGS3 dies a little inside

    • Aj

Why? There’s already a CM10 build that boots on the Verizon GS3, just no data.

      • Data is kinda important…
Not saying it won’t be fixed soon… Just saying I remember they struggled to keep the Droid X’s camera working.

        • Josh Nichols

While data is important, considering all the work and progress that has been done to even get CM10 on the Verizon S3, you should all have a shred of hope.

  • Started using CM10 today on my Gnex. Runs really well so far.

    • jeff manning

      Where did you download cm10

      • Its on Rootzwiki and XDA in the respective GNex forums. Same rom/dev. Its a nightly rom, but so far its been perfect.

  • Sean Collins

Glad to hear that so much progress has been made already. Really looking forward to putting this on my old Atrix running CM9 🙂
