Google Gives Us Another Reason to Be Jealous of Google Employees, Who Wants This RC Android?

Aside from being one of the best places to work in the world, most of us here are jealous of Google Employees because they get to see so much Android stuff behind closed doors that we never get to lay our hands on. Limited edition Galaxy Nexus battery covers, special Nexus Q hangout parties during work hours and now this? A remote controlled, inflatable Android RC car. Where do I send my resume?

This little guy can be inflated and then driven around, you can even knock Android over and he’ll get right back up: almost like the company keeps doing in recent legal battles. The company that makes the toys, Bladez Toyz, will apparently have different models for us regular citizens to choose from while the Google staff gets this Bugdroid exclusively. I know if they sold these through the Play Store, I would have mine pre-ordered already, what about you?

I already have my connects at Google to get me 1 of these. Once I get it, I will make a video for the DL community.

  • Why the bulky yellow controller? Shouldn’t it be controlled with an Android phone?

They should make an apple version, then they could have robot wars… Hopefully not in the court rooms though…(you hear me Apple?)

    • Bruce Purvis

Apple just filed for a patent on this.

  • Mack

I guess we’re about to add Lucas to the list of plaintiffs…

      • Well.. droid IS licensed by Lucas Films..

        • justincase_2008

They did make a R2D2 one for Lucas.

          • michael arazan

Been reading on making an exact replica of r2d2, the plans are on the net, but it’ll cost about $10k for all the parts, not including welding and solder skills
