DROID RAZR Maxx is Real, Pops Up in Verizon System

Remember those pictures with EXIF data found on Picasa that led us to believe there was another version of the DROID RAZR on the way called the RAZR MAXX? It looks now like it may not be that far away. While the date above is not a release date, this does show the world that the phone has made its way into Verizon systems and should be in the hands of testers at some point soon.

Rumors of specs for the device are completely unknown, but with HD variants of the RAZR already making their way to China, you can imagine that this could be one of those upgraded versions for the U.S. The term “MAX” tends to give off some sort of an upgraded vibe, so a 4.5″ 720p HD display and better on-board audio would fit the bill.

Ready for Moto’s next device? Or should I say, their next after their next? After all, the DROID 4 should be here by December 22.

Cheers ___!

Why do people complain about Moto or any other manufacture releasing phones to often? That is the name of the game!! Technology is changing every day and I would rather them release the technology they have instead of holding back on us.  You dont HAVE to purchase a new phone everytime one comes out?  If you like yours, stick with it! If you dont, your in luck! Because there is always something new coming.  Mobile carriers will continue to release new phones often as that is the way it has always been and will always be.  Get the one you want and stop complaining! Geesh…

This is good news as the new Motorola update that rolled out for the Razr indeed improved the camera.  My father and brother both bought a Razr, and I wasnt too impressed with the camera.  With the new Motorola update I was highly impressed with the camera as it now competes with the best of them on the market (Rezound, Iphone 4s).  If this new phone has 13MP and the new motorola software update, along with the new display that is 720 and 330 pixel,  then this will be “the phone” for the Q1 2012.  I have been waiting for an upgrade from my OG Droid since April this year.  I was leaning towards the Galaxy Nexus but after spending quite some time with it, the only thing really going for it is ICS.  I waited this long for a phone, so i am not going to jump on the first ICS device.

That slightly larger, and HD display would be really nice..  Oh well, if I waited for the Next Best Thing, I’d never have a phone to use..  So do I have an “OG RAZR” now?

Razr Maxx = Droid4? perhaps? Either way, I have until January 15th the exchange or return my Razr…so might switch to Nexus of the Maxx (depending on what the F it actually is)

    2009: Droid
    2010: Droid X, Droid 2/ Global
2011: Droid X2, Droid 3, Droid Bionic, Droid Razr, Droid 4, and Droid Razr Maxx
2012: What will we have in store for this year?

I see Moto hasn’t plugged their leaky a$$es yet. The diarrhea of the assembly line continues. Another motorola with an old OS and old Hardware design coming. Amazing

“RAZR MAXX”….lol. Sounds like a BMX/Freestyle bike from the 1980s.

is that the dinara or is the dinara coming next year

  • This is an insult to anyone who bought the Droid Razr. First moto shits on the bionic crowd with the razr, then in the middle of a razr plague of advertisements leaks the RazrMaxx?? jesus.

So did Moto decide to ship a lesser product in the Razr, knowing they would release an updated version only a couple months later?  I wish they would focus on making a good phone rather than half-assed phones.  One of the reasons I had to trade my Bionic back in for the Gnex.  I LOVED my OG Droid, but the quality of Moto products really has dropped in the past two years. 🙁

Kudos to Moto once again. They keep providing us with great products 🙂 My bro will get this beast. Moto is the way to go.
