Asus Releases Transformer 2 Teaser, Will We See It This Week?

With the promo video for NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 leaking last night, plus the fact that head honchos from both NVIDIA and Asus will be speaking at AsiaD this week, we have been sort of expecting the Transformer 2 to be announced. To add to that theory, this new teaser video was just uploaded to Asus’ Youtube page, giving us a ultra-metallic preview of what may be. Their every-popular dock is featured along with the words “The next Transformation” – could they drop any bigger hints? No mention of the processor, specs or release, but they certainly want us to know that “it’s coming.”

Cheers Jacob!

Asus I love my TF. This is the reason I keep my TF stock, sell it, get the new one. Oh and this thing is like a babysitter for my GF’s nieces, they love it. Bird game, rope game, fruit game, we want to paint, that’s all I hear and I love it.

i dont know. i LOVE my transformer and see no reason to upgrade. a Quad core processor is definitely not a good enough reason. they need to take it to the next level! ICS would make me consider upgrading thats for sure.

  • Whoops.. double post.. Mods please delete..

I’m hoping the TF1 dock will work with the TF2 and the TF2 dock will work with the TF1 dock. If you have one already, marvelous. If not, get a better and newer dock?

This could be the one for me IF it has ICS or will get ICS.

Nice to see a company pushing forward on hardware advancement.

Is it just me or about 4 seconds into the clip we see a TON of HONEYCOMBS in the sphere??? No way right??

Damn, that almost looks impossibly thin at 0:13.  I hope that they didn’t drop the full size SD slot.  I would not be too happy about that.  The ability to plug in SD cards directly from my camera is one of my favorite features of the current Transformer and Keyboard Dock.  Maybe they just slid it back on the left side which isn’t shown here.

FRICK!  Looks like the changed the finish – was hoping it would look/feel the same as the original and work with the existing dock – can’t afford to upgrade both!

      Sell it!

I will have to play with this and see how it compares with the original transformer. If there isn’t too much performance difference ill keep mine otherwise I may get this.

Its hard to say but it looks like it may not have the added ports of the first one. Thats one of the reasons I was going for the this over the Samsung Tab 10.1 because of the extras that were in the first one..

  • Nate Surber

I’m going to wait for the Kindle Ice.

  • Sean Rowe

I’m sold, I assume it will have ICS soon after release if it doesn’t come with ICS. I assume XOOM2 will be first ICS tablet.

It looks like galaxy tab 10.1, just from what you can see of it.

No mention of the Nexus in a non-related article?  Weird.

Really thin, and I like the Sci – Fi Trailer LOL

  • Francisco Sandoval

If it has ICS, I’m sold

  • Morenoc12

One Web page says upgraded Android so I’m thinking ICS!! My wait may finally be over Hahaha

Looks thin. I really like the way ASUS designed their dock, makes it look like a netbook with removable screen. I might actually have to buy this thing.

that looks sexy… i may need to upgrade from the one i have now… i’m such a sucker for this shit haha
