Just a couple of hours ago we were talking about the gold Motorola XOOMs that would be going out to Oscar nominees this Sunday and now Moto is giving two people the chance to win one as well. They just announced the simplest contest on Twitter and I highly recommend you jump on this immediately as it ends February 28. Our readers usually come out with something in most of these contests, so let’s see if we can do it again.

Go to the link, and when signed in on Twitter, there will be a line saying “retweet”.

I had to look it up also. It will say retweet instead of undo retweet.

Well, the average Joe won’t exactly give them enough exposure to make it a sound investment. It’s not like Motorola simply really likes movie stars and wants to give them stuff; it’s cheap advertising.

To Motorola: if you give me a XOOM, I’ll advertise the hell out of it wherever I go, and you’ll totally get a double return on your investment. Promise.

It still doesn’t get the exposure. Companies give stuff away to little guys all the time (like the sweepstakes in this article), and it doesn’t make news. The only company to make the news with “average joe” giveaways in recent times is Google with the Cr48, and even that didn’t get much play outside the tech world. I still love mine, though, and would love to have this XOOM to complement it!
