Google is pushing Version 6.1 of Google Play Services to users this afternoon, but don’t expect anything too crazy in the update. As for what is new, Google lists updated APIs for Drive and Fit, which also brings additional support for developers looking to test our their fitness devices through Android Wear

In addition to changes in Drive and Fit, Google also packed a few updates into Analytics, which is geared towards publishers that actually use that service. It is not so much for average Joe consumers, as evidenced by the following breakdown of what’s new for the service.

By including support for Enhanced Ecommerce in Google Tag Manager with the latest release of Google Play services, we are supercharging your ability to regularly update and manage tags on mobile apps more easily, so that you can consistently measure product impressions, shopping funnel events, and more.

In true Google fashion, this update is rolling out slowly over the next couple of days, so do not fret if you do not see it listed in Google Play quite yet.
