Contest: Win 1 of 20 Tickets to Lookout’s “Party Your Apps Off” Google I/O Event on June 26 in San Francisco

If you are already going to be in San Francisco for Google I/O at the end of this month, then how would you like to come hang out with the DL crew at Lookout’s I/O party called “Party Your Apps Off”? The party is the night of Tuesday, June 26 at 8PM, and will feature plenty of good food (food truck style), unlimited drinks, Android-centric goodness, and even goodie bags for the first few people that show up at the door. The location is secret for now, but Lookout has assured us that it will be at one of SF’s hottest downtown spots. If you are going to be around, jump past the break for details on how to enter to win 1 of 20 tickets.

How to enter:

  1. In the comments section below, tell us what you are most looking forward to at this year’s Google I/O 2012.
  2. Make sure to enter with a valid email address so we can contact you if you win.
  3. The event is strictly age 21+, so please have a valid I.D. for entry. Sorry to all of our young readers.
  4. We are giving away 20 tickets, so you have a very good chance if you are in town or close by.

It’s as simple as that.

We will leave the contest open until Friday, June 15 at 12PM Pacific. At that time, our randomly selected 20 DL readers will be contacted with instructions on how to sign up for the event.

Good luck and we hope to see you there!

Looking forward to the Nexus announcement. Rumor has it that Google will work with 5 or 6 different OEM’s under the Nexus brand?

  • I MUST see Google Glasses! And maybe try them also…

Hello! I want to see everything at Google’s I/O 2012! It would be awesome to see all their new innovative GOODIES from GOOGLE! I’m SO fascinated with new stuff (technology) that is hitting the world! Every day you read something on the internet what’s new and upcoming in the cell phone world, and who’s phone is better! All the cell phone wars between 2 phones that are ready for a release or launch! I’m always reading up on ALL the Android websites every single morning! Love it! So having a chance to go the Google I/O 2012 with just be a dream for me! To see everything, learn about what’s out there! I’m a DroidX girl, and I want to see and learn about the Jelly Bean! What’s the VISUAL differences between ICS and now soon to be Jelly Bean! Gee, my phone is still on Gingerbread! ;-( I’m jealous of people who have ICS on their phones. And of course new and cool APPS! I’m always checking out the Google “Play Store” and downloading cool and usefull apps!
I have never owned a Tablet/ipad…. So I would love to see them of course! All the differences between different Tablets, etc.
I’m due for my upgrade for my phone on VW. So maybe going to this will help me to make a decision on my next phone! I’m really loving the Samsung S3! But now they are talking about the Moto Droid HD “aka” Droid Fighter! So I don’t know what I want! Just love bells and whistles, and I am truly fascinated by new and innovative things in the technology world!!! I’m a TRUE cell phone junkie! In a Good Way…!
So I hope I will be able to have that chance to be chosen to go to the I/O Google 2012! I would be thrilled and HONORED!!! THANK YOU! [email protected]

The selection of Jelly Beans at the candy bar. Why else would I be going?! Oh yeah…hands on with Project Glass would be extremely insightful, But I’m pretty sure they will have Jelly Beans!!

Definitely looking forward to the Nexus tablet the most. I had a Kindle Fire, but didn’t really love it. A “serious” 7-inch Android tablet would be pretty pro tier.

As an aside, I live in SF and am somehow actually off work on the night of this. Hope I get picked!

  • The event is strictly age 21+, so please have a valid I.D. for entry. Sorry to all of our young readers.
Damn 20 is close enough, right?

  • Nexus Tablet, no question.

  • TheRealCBONE

Nexus tablet. Holding out hope for Courier-like dual-screen tablet announcement (give the peeps what they want, dammit!).

  • Matthew Shapiro

I am most looking forward to the purported Google Nexus 7 tablet. I think there needs to be a low-price higher end tablet out in the market to compete with other big name expensive tablets. I would like to see this tablet do for Android tablets what the Motorola Droid did for Android smart phones.

  • Allen Byrd

    I’m only 12. FFF.
    This is like my dream, to go to California for a Google event. Why? ;_;

I would love to see The Googs start a new/revolutionary naming scheme involving placing a “g” in front of all their products, e.g. gNexus, gPhone, gPad, gMaps, etc.

…or maybe just the Nexus Tablet.

  • Im excited about the new Nexus tablet and what Jellybean means for phones and tablets ICS was a good start in showing how well a tablet and a phone can share an experience but they need to iron out the overall experience.I forgot the event was in SF wish i was a developer SF is a little less then 45 minutes away from me. Also i rely on lookout it has kept my phone silently protected without incident even on my aging Droid 2 global.

  • elmotactics

I’m really looking forward to the new “Nexus” tablet. So far the tablet experience with Android has been sort of meh, and prohibitively expensive. I’m hoping the new tab and Jelly Bean will open the doors for more people (myself included) to be able to afford a proper Android tablet. Oh, and Google Glass too 🙂

  • aj34
