Springpad Receives Major Update to Version 3.0, Brings New Sharing Capability to Friends and Family

Springpad is an application that allows friends and colleagues to collaborate on ideas and simple projects through inputting pictures and text to get a task done. Not only can you and your friends share cool content, but you can follow major shows, find new places to eat and a ton of other stuff that is recommended by people you know and trust.

With the new features, there is aso a completely redesigned look that suits tablets and phones with bigger screens. Basically, Springpad is a completely new application in terms of look and use, so give it a go and let us know what you think.

It was actually awesome until the update. Now it’s buggy, slow, broken and bloated! And of course their export is terrible, so you’re stuck with it. Way to ignore what people actually use, springpad!

  • Wait, was that an EVO running ICS at the 1:45 mark??

Evernote blows this out of the water

I hate how you link to tags on DL. Annoying.

I’ve been using Springpad for a long time now and it’s one of my most used apps. It’s done amazing up until now, so I’m hoping this update makes it even better!

  • Loved springpad, feel like they just jumped on the pintrest boat.

    • Kernschatten

It doesn’t bother you that they openly data mine what you save?

      • First, I loved springpad and not enjoying the “new” springpad and second I have come to the conclution anything I do on any service these days is data mined, shared, sold….

If it needs to be private and not access able to the public it does not go online.

Jesus (sorry Jesus) but more social sharing hell apps.. UGH!

How the f*** do people get through their days with all of this f***** sharing!!!!!

Lots of people reporting force closing/crashing with the update, I’ll be skipping this one for now.

Does anyone use this? It looks interesting, but don’t want to open another account that I won’t be using. I have an Evernote account, but I don’t use it.

    • Kernschatten

I tried it before but did not like it. And Evernote does more than I need, with too little storage.
I use Epistle, basic notes app that syncs with Dropbox.

I tried to embrace it but I didn’t like it much. It tries to do too much and doesn’t work so well for anything in the end. I found catch.com to be best for note-taking, and todoist.com for todo lists.

Note: I did not try the latest version.

  • Springboard rocks for iOS!

Uhm. Did you mean Springpad in your headline? 😉

    • Yes we did. 😛

      • docmars

Hehe just messin’ 🙂 One day there’s going to be two of everything and no one’s going to know what’s what in the end anyway.

Do they charge me $30 to upgrade to the new version?
