Instagram Updated Again, Tegra 3 and HTC One X Support Included

Instagram for Android received another update this evening (the third since launch), bringing with it support for Tegra 3 devices including the HTC One X. As someone who has been locked out of the service for the last 5 or so days since switching to a One X, I couldn’t be happier. I know that some of you aren’t fans, but as a social app that lets you view fun photos from your friends, it definitely can be entertaining at times. Plus, the developer team behind it is proving to be incredible. If only other major application teams would be on top of their game like this.

The Instagram team also fixed bugs on tablets, made geotagging more accurate, and increased camera support for more devices.

Cheers Tato!

f***** stop with this God**** nonsense with this stupid f****ers Instagram… STOPPPPP

    Its blowing my mind up

  • BroRob

  • Stop with the effin instagram crap please.  Or at least explain to me it’s appeal I was on the reminder lsit got the app never took a picture and still have completely no use for this app.  Maybe part of it is because I own a nice Canon DSLR and take real pictures as a hobby and all apps like this due is ruin photography.

    • Just skip the post then. No reason to elevate your blood pressure over it 🙂

      It’s a fun app!

      • FortitudineVincimus

        “It’s a fun app!”

is your other language Sheep by chance?

  • Lot of hate for this app I see. Not sure why. I myself find it quite entertaining, and useful. A lot of my friends and coworkers started using it simply because it’s so damned easy to share on social networking sites with it. Yeah I have other camera apps that have more filters, but I have to admit that especially with the amount of dev support it’s getting, I’m glad I downloaded it.

    • Yea, people hate this app is like hating your camera on your phone. Dudes, it just a social network to share pictures on. I like it cause im not spamming my fb with pictures as i practice my photography. and theres some REALLY good pictures on there. Just dont follow people who take crappy pictures. problem solved.

  • Now Instagram is owned by Facebook. Lets see how it will evolve.

    • Djlowproz

well so far it has gotten more updates than FB

    You mad dude ?

    • Woah

i see wat you did there

  • Booboolala2000

Maybe they are trying to make up for why it took so long to bring to android in the first place. Plus, isn’t it just going to end up as a part of fb despite of what fb claims? That’s a lot of updates, Zynga should take note. Still have not tried it. Use paper camera anyway, android has always been better at photo sharing so I still am not sure why this app and social network is relevant.

  • Samvelavich

can everyone stop complaining? its not like there was gonna be something else posted instead of this, so relax they always inform us when major apps are updated. If you dont like it, just wait for the next article

  • Asuriyan

If only there were a central content hub, installed on Android devices, that informed us when our favorite apps were updated. That way I could stop checking this site and seeing the damnable Instagram icon blown up to 400x400px 3 times a day.

(I still have a man crush on Kellex.)

  • Twofourturbo

Someone is on the instagram pay roll.

  • I hope they fix the Swype-related bug that makes it basically impossible to tap out a geotag location update using Swype. That’s really annoying.

  • Droiiddd

who the heck cares.  stop posting things about instagram.  i don’t need to be notified everytime an app is updated.  especially since no one here has an htc one x and most of us don’t have a tegra 3

    • ThomasMoneyhon

right. I thought this was a primarly website for verizon customers.

      • Guest

I am a verizon customer and I have a Transformer Prime with is a tegra 3 device.  It is nice to know that I can not install this app on it, as I have tried in the past, but it did not work.  As others have said, if you dont like the post, then dont read it.

    • feztheforeigner

Instagram has several million users. Although you don’t care, lots of people do.

      • LiterofCola

So do Apple products, and still don’t care about Apple devices

        • feztheforeigner

          Again, lots of people do.

          • LiterofCola

True, but what other apps are getting daily posts about what next update is added. Just saying that it’s overkill is all.

          • Bob Martin

not on a droid website. finding someone on an android website that likes apple devices is like finding a major phone company that Apple hasn’t sued.

    • Welcome to Instagram-Life a site dedicated to a crappy app with no real purpose and sometimes we sprinkle in android news.

    • my friend’s mother-in-láw makes $73/hour on the computér. She has been laid off for ten months bÙt last month her income was $21404 just wÖrking on the computer for a few hours. Read more on this síte LázÿCásh5.Çom

  • So kellex, what was your cut in the Instagram sale?

  • Michael_NM

Instabillion deserves a ton credit for their Android support, but I still say FU FB.

  • Dev team is really on top of things, but then why did it take so long to come out?

I suspect to build up the hype “omg its FINNALY out on android”

    • OhAaron

Haha, the better question is why a team that had so few resources was able to destroy an app put out by a company that is supposedly worth 100 billion

    • Asuriyan

It’s because Android has such an unfair lead that we occasionally give iOS a few months head start on cool apps. It’s sort of like good sportsmanship.

If smart phones were Little League, Android would be the winning team standing at home plate handing out high fives and saying “good game”.

  • OhAaron

I freaking love this crew. Put them in charge of FB mobile.

    • mikesuds

This is actually a pretty good point.

  • Liderc

Damn, you’d think those 6 multimillionaires would take a break.
