Robotek – A Game About The Machine’s Inevitable World Takeover

We knew it was going to happen. We would create machines too smart for our own good. They have realized the only way to protect us, is to destroy us. Sound familiar? Maybe that is what causes the initial attraction to the game. But then you see the price tag. Free? Must be riddled with advertisements. Wait, no ads? This seems too good to be true.

Well believe it, folks. A game that has superb graphics, great gameplay, and even a multi-player function. When you first boot up the game, it takes you through a great tutorial, so as not to leave you in the dust as far as the point of the game, and controls. Basically, it’s a robot battle arena, and you spin a wheel to determine what type of moves you will make against your opponent. Once you get the hang of it, it is actually quite addictive.

But beware – the game is free, but is supported by in app purchases. No, you do not need to purchase anything to beat the game. I played for 2 days and wasn’t even hassled once to purchase anything. You can’t blame developers for trying to pay the bills. But again, they are non intrusive, and you might not even notice them at all.

Download it, and give it a go!

That competence and kindness in handling everything was useful. I’m not sure what I would’ve done if I hadn’t come upon such a subject like this. It’s possible to at this time look forward to my future. Thanks for your time very much for your specialized and sensible guide. Hexage is so great. Evac was an amazing game that never got enough recognition. I sincerely hope that Robotek finds more success. I know Radiant was popular, but it didn’t really make Hexage themselves that popular.

are you kidding me? did you play the game for a little more than 15 min? you cant even come close to getting far in the game without being FORCED to purchase in app energy. I HATE these games. just pick a dam price and let us BUY it…not do this whole “theft by swindle” causing some unknowing person to throw down a dollar here and three there. Next thing you know the game cost $20. What bs.

    • Frank Mora

You need to play for longer than 15 minutes. I have never bought anything and currenty have conquered 65% off the Earth.

I played this game a few months ago. It was fun at first but then you begin to run out of battles that are at or near your level. That pretty much ended the replay value for me. In addition to this the gameplay becomes stale after a short period as you are pretty much doing the same battle over and over.

Honestly it’s a fun game for a while and it has nice graphics but in the long run it simply falls flat with no diversity in the enemies you face.

Is it a fun little game…sure. Will you be playing it in a week or two…probably not.

Cant dwnload it. Just getting a loading screen.

That’s because it isn’t compatible with the Star TAC phone OS.

Sweet…will have to give this game a go later today!

Alright, Robotek is a really great game, and at free, you can’t really go wrong. Well…you can, some free games suck pretty badly, but this game..this game is incredible!

Great gameplay, stellar graphics, memorizing music, etc, download Robotek now!

  • A lot of thanks for all your valuable work on this website. My mom takes pleasure in carrying out research and it is easy to understand why. My partner and i notice all relating to the compelling medium you produce powerful guides on the web site and as well as strongly encourage participation from visitors about this situation while our daughter is always being taught so much. Have fun with the remaining portion of the year. You’re conducting a pretty cool job.

  • It’s a pretty good game, but I haven’t touched it for a few months. I need to get back to it.

Initially it looks like an awesome game….easy to learn, good graphics/music, nice UI, and free. But that is deceptive, as the CPU’s AI cheats like crazy (I have seriously had the computer get 3 triples in a row and devastate me when its health was <20 and mine was 100+).  This has happened to me on the TouchPad and Android versions of this game.   This kind of crap ensures that unless you are very good and very lucky, you'll have to keep ponying up for more "powerups".

I'd rather buy an app once (like Angry Birds) for $2 or $3 instead of shelling out a buck periodically to "recharge" my powers.  It's fine for a free download but in general I don't care for in-app purchases and especially don't support developers who intentionally cheat to force you to pay up.

i was going to post the exact thing when i saw your post.  i feel like i wanted to reply and say that, yes indeed, the game progressively ups the cheatness factor as you start winning to force you to buy the upgrades.  terrible terrible ploy, bait and switch.

thank you so much for your post.  the insights you have provided have allowed me and my mother to truly realize the potential of our worth.  the comment on this site represent a great service to the community and i am proud to be able to read it.  visit my site for free pills now dot com.  :-p

Like others have said, very well made and simple game. One of my first apps on the touchpad

great game…i’ve had it for about 3 weeks without getting anything intrusive regarding in app payments.  As long as you keep winning and gaining power points, i don’t think you have to make any purchases.

Great game.. I’ve been playing this on my Touchpad.

    • Anonymous

Touchpad version is actually how I found out about the game on Android, I was thrilled to discover it has everything that the Touchpad version has, plus more

  • I know it’s spelled slightly differently, but no Veritechs, no download.

  • Justin Everett

Great game for playing at work, you can easily spin the wheel and let it go while doing something else.
Also, the in app purchases are great, but be careful, i think the AI levels up powers alongside you if you buy coins.

  • Jak_341

I’ve picked this up a while ago. It is fun, but the game play gets too repetitive. Once you find the winning strategy, you will win about 75% of the time. Still though, for free, pick it up.

I saw this in the comments from the application poll. Side note: I love when you do that. I always find great stuff digging through the comments. It’s like a religious holiday.
