Digg Reader has Officially Shut Down

Back in 2013 when Google killed Google Reader and pissed off the internet’s outspoken batch of journalists, a bunch of alternatives launched to try and save RSS. Feedly was (and likely still is) the most popular, but others were there to try and steal some of the spotlight, like Digg Reader. If you were one of those who passed on Feedly for Digg, I have bad news for you – Digg Reader has shut down.

Digg announced that the end was near a couple of weeks ago, and boy, time sure does fly. They are sending emails today to confirm the death, but accessing the Digg Reader site has stopped today as well.

If you were using Digg Reader, you can still download you feeds, Diggs, and saves by heading to digg.com/settings.

Is anyone still on this RSS thing? If so, which service are you using? We’re a Feedly crew, here at Droid Life.
