Verizon Ellipsis 7 Tablet Receives Update – Improves LTE Connectivity, Camera, Battery Life, and More

Verizon has this self-branded tablet called the Ellipsis 7 that you probably don’t know much about. It’s a low-end tablet that they try to sell for more than you can pick up a 2013 Nexus 7 for. They also try to sell it with a 2-year contract for $150, which is quite possibly the worst deal in tech at the moment. It features a 1.2GHz unknown quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 3.2MP camera, low-resolution 7-inch display by today’s standards, Android 4.2.2, and 8GB of storage. Again, it’s not great and probably shouldn’t be in your top 100 list of potential tablets to buy.  (more…)

Verizon Black Friday Deals: Galaxy Note 3 for $199, JAMBOX at $99, 25% Off Mophie Power Station

Verizon has rolled out its Black Friday deals early this morning with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 looking like the best of the lot. Normally priced at $299 on-contract, Verizon has slashed the price to $199 on-contract for the day or $599 at full retail. If the Note 3 wasn’t on your radar, there are some other deals here and there that may be worth a look.  (more…)

Verizon Announces Ellipsis 7 Tablet, Launches November 7 for $249.99 (Updated: With Specs)

Verizon announced its plans to launch the Ellipsis 7 tablet onto its 4G LTE network this morning, starting November 7 at just $249.99. The tablet features a 7″ HD display, front-facing camera and 4G LTE, but all other specs are unknown at this time. There is no official word on the processor, display resolution, storage or anything else that might be important to potential customers as of right now. (more…)
