Anyone actually get this working on a Captivate? I got it flashed, but it can’t make phone calls (can enter and click dial, but it doesn’t actually do anything) and I get no data connection either.

  • asustransformerprime

I have a Droid Bionic… and I have been using Spearmingum for over a month now.  It has been working great.  I have a few connection problems, but other then that, nothing.  Simple airplane mode toggle fixes that.  I’m loving it!!!

  • Bu5ster2010

I’m not a newbie but i’m new to the Droid razr..I’ve downloaded the spyder file for my razr. Did all the wipes and followed the directions but when I try to reboot I get a black screen and can’t get the ROM to boot up. I’m using safe strap but nothing will work except eclipse ROM…any ideas

  • Jeez, the Droid X2 really gets shafted… by Moto and by devs…

  • Chris Wedel

I loaded this onto my DX and about 12 hours later got this in my email:

Same here. What a great ROM, comes with a free Nexus!

  • Yandroid

I looked at the links posted, and saw nothing concerning video recording and usb issues..can anyone poin me in the right direction?

    • Yandroid

       woops nevermind 🙂 found it

  • Ahsan

Is it an ICS or GB rom for the Droid lineup?

  • If you’re a GSM user, note that it won’t give you mobile data on the DROID2 GLOBAL. Doesn’t have the XT860 workaround that is already present in CM9.

  • Mauricio Sanchez

Wow, really? Well, I’m back to stock on the .602 kernel, and on my way to school, so I’ll try there. How do you like it, by the way?

  • Have you guys seen anything for the Samsung Galaxy SII from T-Mobile? I have benn looking for a while and so far have not seen anything. I’m looking for this because a friend wants ICS on his Galaxy SII.  Thanks

  • jrphillips10

I actually switched back to my Droid X from my Droid Charge to get ICS with Gummy. Might keep it until JT gets data working with CM9 for the Charge (if ever). I miss 4G but ICS makes up for it. Slight overclock and it runs as smooth as can be. Great work Team Gummy!

@RedPandaAlex:disqus my classmate’s sister-in-law brought in $16950 Ṗast month. she has been making cash on the internet and got a $3821OO home. All she did was get fortunate and put to use the instructions written on this web site..MakeCash2.CoM

  • Mauricio Sanchez

They should tell you what you can flash from, ’cause I just failed going from MIUI to this, and I am now SBFing… 🙁 lol.

    • cmiram

Same dude..though cm7 for me. I’m guessing that means it must need the gingerbread kernel? Anybody verify that

      • jrphillips10

Yeah I am almost positive it needs the GB kernel. I was on Liberty 3 v2.0 for the Droid X and was able to flash Gummy with no issues (after data wipe of course). Before Liberty 3 v2.0 I was on CM7 GB

        • cmiram

Alright thanks man! Now if I could only get my SBF to stop bootlooping I might have a shot at saving my phone….

          • jrphillips10

No problem. I think if you are bootlooping after SBF pull the battery and then try getting into the stock recovery (Home+Power I think) and do a data wipe and then reboot. Pretty sure I had to do the same when I was getting on CM7 GB.

          • cmiram

Ahh knew I was forgetting something..I did eventually get it to work. Thanks a bunch, lol your a real phone saver

          • jrphillips10

Yep that should work if you are bootlooping. Checkout this link. A lot of good info and links in the thread http://rootzwiki.com/topic/1458-how-to-installing-cm4dx-or-cm4dx-gb/

    • Worked fine for me on my DX while on MIUI.  I did do a wipe of data and cache though

      • Mauricio Sanchez

Wow, really? Well, I’m back to stock on the .602 kernel, and on my way to school, so I’ll try there. How do you like it, by the way?

    • same thing here.

  • Higher_Ground

I’m crossing my fingers that it’ll work on w/e kernal & build I manged to get stuck on that CM didn’t seem to support…

  • WHAT NO PYRAMID?!?! 🙁 sad face

  • cmiram

Does anyone know what you can flash it over? I’m currently running cm7 froyo kernel, so would I need to get on gingerbread?

  • Thanks for the props DL 🙂

    • cheezer88

been running the Gummy Bionic since day release and its AWESOME!

    • Phandroid

why do you no longer support the Charge?

    • craig1989

love the rom, being using it on my gnex from day one. Any chance of support for the HP touchpad?

  • rlorenz

    I’ve got the X… maybe worth a shot? Hmm…

    • I would definitely say so. Might be a tad biased though 😉

      • jrphillips10

Thanks for your work on the Droid X! You have brought me back to my Droid X from the Charge. Amazing to see this device still alive and kicking a$$!

      • rlorenz

Thank you sir. I was coming from EncounterICS X, and it did crash on me after following SOP; however, after a quick SBF, it seems to be working just fine.  So far, so good!  Thanks for all of your work!

    • JagoX

Like with any of the ICS-based DS ROMS, there are camera issues & bluetooth headset issues. Check out the Gummy ROM thread on RootzWiki for full details.

  • thats a whole lot of devices to support.
the effort these guys put into this (something that really doesn’t pay anything) astonishes me sometimes.

    • my buddy’s ex-wife makes $84/hr on the internet. She has been laid off for 5 months but last month her income was $7538 just working on the intérnet for a few hours. Read more on thiŝ site : LazyCash5.Com

  • Sixstringsg

    Also, nightlies are at gummy.exynos.co

  • Bobby B 187

Here is some more information on the ROM.  http://www.droidforums.net/forum/gummyjar-nexus/

    • sam_evans7

Awesome; thanks!  I forgot to mention I wanted info re: the Targa build…  None of the ICS ROMs I’ve tried have working video…

  • sam_evans7

Where can I find info about the ROM?  What’s (not)working; change logs?  That goo-inside.me link has no info.  Neither does teamgummy.com…  Ideas?  Thanks 🙂 (I really want ICS + the ability to record video!)

    • check comments bellow..
Sixstringsg and Bobby B 187 posted some links.

    •  Well we there are forum listings for each device but we are working on getting a new solution now for people to gather and find gummy for their devices 😀

    •  you can also go here to see whats new in the latest release

      • Jon

Amazing that this is on so many phones. Really impressive. How is the 4G data holding up on the Droid Bionic (Targa)? One of the problems that persists with the Roms on Droidhive.com are issues with 4G data staying connected, and sometimes disconnects and you can’t get it back on without a reboot.

Does gummy on the Targa have this bug in common?

        • I have been using the rom for about 24 hours now on my Bionic. I leave my phone in 3G to save on battery and have not lost data all day. On the other builds I have tried I lose data all the time, 3g and 4g.

          • Jon

While my 3G and 4G data was solid all day with Gummy on my Bionic, I had quite a few other problems. My 2 music players both were so slow and kept crashing. Some other apps also had problems. Really weird. I guess it’s still in Beta and being worked on.

  • RedPandaAlex

Where’s the best place to go to figure out the best ICS rom for a Droid 2? I’ve seen CM9, AOKP, and this are available. Don’t care too much about features, I just want stability, speed, battery life, all the sensors working, and close to stock. Is there a forum I should be looking at?

  • moelsen8

i like gummynex.  been running it for a while with no problems whatsoever, and it’s very smooth.

  • PyroHoltz

“You can have it for almost all of the DROID branded lineup…”

I see the Droid2 and Droid2we listed as compatible devices.  How is that[read: two] “almost all” DROID devices?

    • Michael_NM

Targa, Shadow, Spyder are also Droids. IIRC.

    • Joshua Haar

The shadow is the Droid X, the Solana is the Droid 3, the Targa is the Droid Bionic, the Spyder is the Droid Razr, and the Maserati is the Droid 4. Also, there is a version of Gummy available for the Droid Charge, however it has been discontinued due to lack of support for Ice Cream Sandwich. Any more questions?

      • Michael_NM

        No Droid Eris? 🙂

        • JagoX

That’s a joke right? I’m pretty sure by this point you’re eligible for a FREE upgrade to a better phone.

      • PyroHoltz

        /slinks away dodging stones

      • Ortizchief

How the Spyder gummy works on the Razr do you know?

  • Murph

most of those device names are not the standard name. where can i find the ‘translation’?

    • google?

      • Murph

yeah yeah yeah, if you want to be OBVIOUS..  ha ha. .. just thinking there was something i missed on the site itself.

        • I hear ya. Sometimes they have them posted together.

    • JagoX

      The “internets” 😀 j/k

  • ddevito

I will at least wait for a 4.0.4+ based ROM before deciding to dive into a custom ROM.

ICS has changed the way I use (and feel about) a mobile UI. It has everything I need already, no need to change anything.

    • BrianWenger

You’d be surprised. AOKP it up.

      • moelsen8

does aokp have the zero shutter lag camera from 4.0.2?  i haven’t tried it in a while. gummy doesn’t, and it’s really the only thing i miss.  bamf does, but i wasn’t a fan of that rom.

        • yes, AOKP has the zero shutter lag camera. Works like a charm.

          • moelsen8

sweet, i may have to check it out again.. i really miss that thing.  google needs to bring it back or at least give the option to turn off the damn autofocus between every picture.

          • kixofmyg0t

No no no. Ive been flammed MANY MANY times for saying the zero lag camera was a ICS deal.

Say it with me now “zero lag shutter is *ONLY FOR THE GLORIOUS G-NEX BY SAMSUNG BECAUSE THEY MAKE THE BEST PHONES”.

    • i feel you on that. been running 4.04 rooted stock since the day it came out on here. and i dont feel the need to get a custom rom. i know when i finally go for a AOKP or something i’m gonna be kicking myself later. but i’m really pleased with the vanilla ICS.

  • M1ghtysauc3

This has been my goto ROM since Droid 2.

  • M1ghtysauc3

    Go kill yourself.
