Tweet About the Amazon Appstore and Receive $2 to Spend on Apps

Amazon kicked off a new promotion last night that gives you the opportunity to add $2 to your account to spend on apps for simply tweeting about their Appstore.  All you have to do is head to this site and click on the yellow “Tweet and get $2” button.  Afterwards, when you find an app that you may want to buy, feel free to click on the “Redeem a gift card or promotion code & view balance” link below the “Buy now” button to see your app account balance of $2.  Then go ahead and buy it.

Cheers Devin and RBI411!

  • I and my guys happened to be viewing the great tips and tricks from the website and so then developed an awful feeling I never expressed respect to you for those techniques. The young boys happened to be as a result excited to read through them and have in effect clearly been tapping into them. Appreciation for turning out to be so considerate and then for finding certain outstanding things millions of individuals are really wanting to understand about. My very own honest regret for not saying thanks to you earlier.

  • I would like to show some appreciation to the writer just for rescuing me from such a instance. Just after checking throughout the internet and coming across tips which were not pleasant, I assumed my life was well over. Being alive without the strategies to the difficulties you’ve solved through this short post is a serious case, and the ones that could have in a wrong way damaged my career if I had not noticed your web site. Your personal talents and kindness in touching all things was tremendous. I am not sure what I would have done if I had not encountered such a point like this. I can now look ahead to my future. Thanks very much for the skilled and sensible guide. I will not be reluctant to suggest the website to any individual who would like counselling on this situation.

Yes! I was just thinking about shelling out the $2 for WidgetLocker, but now I don’t have to! Sweet

  • It would be so great to take advantage of this, but I can’t figure out how to get the Amazon App store to work with my WiFi device.  I get the app installed, but it wants to verify all app downloads with a phone number.  My WiFi device obviously does not have one.

  • pezjono

Once again, Droid-Life gets me free stuff. Thank you!
Anyone complaining can immediately remove Amazon from access to their account. From Twitter go to Settings, Applications, and select Revoke Access for Amazon.

  • This is how I got Widget locker.

    • great suggestion, I just did the same

    • RonsterWVU

haha, that is why i did it!

  • Balls

they are getting more and more powerful by the day..

Amazon App Store gets access to post any tweets for me and also can make me follow people? That’s worth more than $2. I’ll pass on this one.

    • jimbob

It takes about 10 seconds to make a new Twitter account.

    • Mike

If you don’t want them to tweet or not have any control to your Twitter page after the special just un-authorize Amazon from your twitter account. That’s what I did.

  • jimbob

Might as well, even though I usually just use cracked apps.

    • Jarred Sutherland

Yeah because you know, those guys that write the app in the first place are suckers, AMIRITE??!

Seriously, you spend $20-30 a month on data, $100-300 on a phone, and you can’t buy a $2 app? Way to support the people writing the apps you love to use.

      • jimbob

Get of your damn high horse.  I’ll do what I want, despite what pricks like you say or think.

        • Jarred Sutherland

Well, just remember what comes around goes around. It still makes you a total schmuck to rip off developers.

          • jimbob

            Sue me.

          • Jarred Sutherland

I won’t but the people you gleefully steal from would be more than happy to. Why don’t you give them your name and address?

          • jimbob

Using a cracked app is not different than using a free version.

          • You mean minus the whole “paying for what you use” thing? Yeah you got me there. So… how bout I come steal that mobile home you worked so hard for at Burger King to afford? There’s no difference in buying a home versus stealing one. Right?

          • jimbob

Yeah, whatever helps you sleep at night.

          • Jarred Sutherland

Eh he’s a worthless, self entitled troll, just let him be. As I said, what comes around goes around, it will catch up with him eventually.

          • Jarred Sutherland

If it were free, why do you need to use the cracked version? Sorry, I didn’t just fall off the turnip truck kid. But if you don’t care, why do you keep responding?

          • jimbob

The funny thing is, I’m probably older than you.  Anyway, keep on tossing money away if you want, I’ll keep using cracked apps.

        • Whitesoxfan5622

And application developers despise you. Support the devs who make the apps you like. Grow up.

          • Lol, its not often that I agree with a WhiteSox fan.

          • jimbob

            Boo hoo.

          • Anonymous

With a name like jimbob, it’s gotta be hick!

        • Anonymous

Its people like you that give lowlifes a bad name. You are scum of the earth and you seem proud of it.

You would think you could set aside a buck or two from your welfare or disability check for an app here and there.

Your momma would be proud of you.

          • She probably gave him up for adoption and taxpayers paid to bring him up. So he’s used to taking advantage of others.

      • naw he’s probably using a stolen phone and uses his neighbors wifi instead of paying for data

    • PepperNation

Is that some sort of a redneckery?

The Amazon APP Store gets updates like a bazllion days after the author updates on Android Marketplace.  Maybe if Root Explorer goes on sale for 1.99; but otherwise … meh.

    • Jarred Sutherland

I think recently they had a 50% off discount on Root Explorer.

      • Brandon Whipp

They did got it for you. 99¢
