Official Honeycomb Logo Spotted in SDK

We spent last night enjoying the Honeycomb SDK preview and snapping these 52 pictures of it, but somehow missed the friendly little bee you are seeing above which most would describe as the official logo for Android 3.0.  Apparently he was hidden deep inside, but not for long as he appears to have taken over the interwebs this morning.  What do you think?

Now, if only we can see the giant statue of him on Google’s lawn.  Maybe when the full SDK is released?

If I need to choose, I buy iOS powered device over Android any given day.

I know people who are scared of bees, let alone blue and black ones.

I would have preferred a more brighter color like yellow. this looks to techie. And while techie is cool, it doesn’t quite appeal to everyone. That’s just my opinion though.

Based on the current Droid Life logo contest, I’d say Droid Life has a better graphics “department” than Google! That bee does nothing for me… At least it’s not a partially eaten piece of rotting fruit though…

Android is going to be great this year. Apple, take notes.

actually Android is finally catching up to Apple. Google has been taking notes. HW acceleration of the UI, old news for Apple. Now how long for useful tablet apps to show up; 4-6 months?

I’ve been using my Galaxy Tab with lots of apps and Flash and cameras and an SD card for two months… :-)

google catching up to apple? idiot.. If i’m not mistaken iOS4 was a move to get half way to where android 1.6 was.. but it still doesn’t have widgets or a notification system (if you tell me the number 1 or 2 next to an app is adequate, you are living under a rock)

I’m glad to see you finally can change your wallpaper background, and multitas…*cough* multipause, excuse me.. when you guys can view 100% of the web, look me up until then, it looks like apple is playing catch up ;)

From what’s been shown, and the preview SDK, Honeycomb’s primary colors are blue and black.

Laying the Tron influence pretty strong here, not that that’s a bad thing.
