You weren’t seeing things – the Google Search bar on your Pixel phone did indeed perform a little flowery animation for you.
To celebrate Spring Equinox, Google added a cute little animation to the bottom Google bar on Pixel phones, like the Pixel, Pixel 2, and Pixel 3. As you unlock your phone, you’ll see the flower animation with green “G” logo for a few seconds before it switches back to the normal Google “G.”
