Allo and Duo were announced alongside each other at last year’s Google I/O, but surprisingly, there wasn’t much integration between the two. Thanks to an Allo update rolling out this week, users of the services can now begin a Duo video call from right inside Allo.
With the updated version of Allo, if you are inside of a chat with someone who uses Duo, you can now quickly video call that person. It’s a simple concept, one we’re surprised wasn’t there from the start. Regardless, it’s there now.
You will need the updated version of Allo to see it, so be on the lookout in Google Play for it.
