AT&T 5G Goes Live in 7 More Cities

AT&T’s real 5G network expanded today to 7 more cities, bringing the total to 19. That’s more than any other carrier can claim at this point, in case you were wondering.

The new AT&T 5G cities are Austin, Los Angeles, Nashville, Orlando, San Diego, San Francisco, and San Jose. Keep in mind that AT&T mobile 5G is only available in parts of those cities. When we’re talking 5G, it’s going to be a while (possibly years) before an entire city is blanketed with the newness. Why is that? Because 5G is confusing and sort of awful at the moment.

Live in one of those cities and want to jump on AT&T 5G today? You can’t. Well, you can if you buy their Netgear Nighthawk 5G product and sign-up for one of their hotspot plans. At this time, AT&T does not offer a 5G smartphone. During the course of the 2019, they’ll have at least two 5G phones, but neither are available at this time.

OK, good talk.
