PlayStation Vue Raises Prices Again, This Time by $5 Per Plan

Like YouTube TV, Sling TV, and DIRECTV NOW, PlayStation Vue is raising prices on its streaming TV plans. This is the 2nd time in a year that Vue has done so.

This newest price adjustment is a $5 increase on all Vue plans, including Access, Core, Elite, and Ultra. The new pricing goes into effect on July 24 and is for new and current customers. However, some current subscribers may not see the increase until after July 31, likely because of bill scheduling.

Through a blog post announcing the move, PlayStation’s head of Vue, Dwayne Benefield, said that they “must increase the price of our multi-channel plans to keep pace with rising business costs and enable us to continue offering a better way to watch the best in live sports, entertainment, and news.” That’s the reasoning that almost every other streaming service has given as well.

With a $5 increase, the pricing should look like this:

  • Access: $44.99
  • Core: $49.99
  • Elite: $59.99
  • Ultra: $79.99

If these price increase continue, is the value of slim streaming TV packages going to remain?
