Of course, just as I finish wrapping up the latest US wireless unlimited plan comparison, AT&T announces tweaks to its unlimited plan line-up. They are calling their new plans Unlimited Plus Enhanced and Unlimited Choice Enhanced. The names suggest they won’t change much, but let’s dive in anyway.
In terms of differences, we’re still waiting to get a clear list of features, but for now, we know that the Unlimited Plus Enhanced will start at $80, which is $10 cheaper than the current Unlimited Plus plan. The Unlimited Choice Enhanced plan’s price is increasing to $65 (from $60). Of course, you only get those prices if you sign-up for autopay and paperless billing. You also won’t see that $10 discount on the Plus plan until you are two billing cycles in.
AT&T is also upping the hotspot bucket to 15GB (from 10GB) on Plus. Both plans will come with a $15 loyalty credit towards AT&T video services (DIRECTV, U-Verse or DIRECTV NOW) as well. The 22GB throttle limit still stands for the Plus plan.
To help push these new plans, AT&T is offering up select deals to folks located in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. If in NYC, you could get live TV for a year free, free home internet for life in Chicago, or take advantage of a buy one, get one iPhone X deal in LA. Starting March 1, customers can jump onto both Enhanced Plus or Choice plans.
