Two months after Verizon introduced new Go Unlimited and Beyond Unlimited data plans that included all-day, all-the-time video throttling no matter your data connection or display resolution, the company has decided that you can now stream beyond just 720p. Of course, they are going to make you pay for that privilege, because that’s how wireless carriers operate – they take nice things away only to make you pay extra for them later.
The news comes out of CNET, who says that the option will arrive November 3 and cost you $10 per month. Most of the details aren’t here just yet, but they are reporting that you’ll be able to stream up to 4K or whatever resolution of video your phone can handle (aka original, non-throttled quality).
