Just last week, Android 4.4.2 test builds were leaking for the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3, with the update appearing to now be live for Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005) owners throughout Poland.
As we detailed in last week’s post, you will see pretty much the same TouchWiz UI that Samsung has deployed for the past few years, although Kit Kat’s white notification bar icons will finally be in place – no more Gingerbread Green battery icon. Unfortunately, Samsung has yet to detail any extras they have put into TouchWiz with its update to Kit Kat, but we are sure there are a few extra treats in there besides just icons.
With these types of major updates, it’s hard to be specific on when it could make its way to the State’s Note 3 variants. More than likely, it won’t be anytime too soon, so owners will have to remain patient for Samsung to give it the green light globally.
