SOPA Has Been Postponed Indefinitely.

Both the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and Protect Intellectual Property Act (PIPA) have been postponed indefinitely by Congress. Texas Congressman Lamar Smith who introduced SOPA, had the following to say:

“It is clear that we need to revisit the approach on how best to address the problem of foreign thieves that steal and sell American inventions and products,” Smith said in a statement.

Again, I know this is not Android-related, but it affects us all. No new date has been set for a vote on tweaked bills.

A massive +1 to every site that participated in Wednesday’s blackout and to each and every one of you that contacted your state’s representatives and helped spread the word.
