We’re hearing whispers that Verizon might have just OK’d a subsidized price on the Motorola XOOM for those not interested in purchasing it outright at $799. How does a $599 price point sound with a 2-year contract? We asked what you guys thought on Twitter just a few minutes ago and are seeing lovers and haters of the idea, so feel free to weigh in here.
No idea how they would structure this with a data plan, but the idea is at least a little intriguing. And no, I haven’t heard anything about a wifi-only version.
Oh, and on a semi-related note, we’ve got word that the Galaxy Tab is about to drop to $299.
