And to be sure the wait for Blunderbolt has killed it!

By: John Sun, 27 Feb 2011 18:00:00 +0000 $100 for every hour of battery life. woohoo

By: Rooted TFM Sun, 27 Feb 2011 03:57:00 +0000 This is my phone…cant wait to root it

By: Cogs_9 Sun, 27 Feb 2011 00:43:00 +0000 Bummer 3rdjones. On a good note I went to Best Buy today and got them to give me a raincheck for $249 because they did not have a product they advertised to be in their inventory. All he said was he wasn’t sure when it’s coming in but when it does i’ll get it for the $249 price because they advertised it. If he didn’t was for sure going to wait for the Bionic. They also already have the carrying case and film protector on the sales floor to buy now.

By: 3rdjones Sat, 26 Feb 2011 21:10:00 +0000 My write up on the Thunderbolt. Should I vent? No.

I was a little curious today to find that we have a best buy add for my zip code that says Thunderbolt is at 249.99. There is nothing saying about the date available. So I took my printed ad copy up to Best Buy in hopes to put my 50 down for the phone.

At best buy like always I am asked if I could use some help. In venting my frustrations I asked if I could put my 50.00 down and have it at the price that my ad says. He said no the price is not guaranteed at this time. We have no idea what the price will be. Then I said well the date it is coming is 03/04 he said no it is March 10th. I said are you sure??? He agreed.

My pressing thoughts are…How can they advertise a price that is not already announced? Why do I really want this phone this bad. I stood at the iphone for a good 4 mins then thought this screen is small but the phone does so much.

Will I turn to the dark side???

By: guest Sat, 26 Feb 2011 21:01:00 +0000 don’t go to AT&T. I was with them for about a year and HATED THEM. Dropped calls all the time, shitty coverage (i live in a pretty good sized city) and horrible customer service. What Verizon’s doing right now is pretty shady and annoying but overall they ARE the best.

By: Guest Sat, 26 Feb 2011 20:40:00 +0000 Nah, I spoke to the manager at my best buy a few days ago and he said they’re going to honor the free buy back program for everyone who preordered the phone. As for the $299 price tag…I saved the old flyer that says $249…I’m gunna make them price match that shit lol

By: Guest Sat, 26 Feb 2011 20:32:00 +0000 Please! You think Verizon is intentionally trying to kill this? HTC is doing a marvelous job on their own ‘killing’ it! Why aren’t you concerned about ‘why’ the phone is delayed? This phone has terrible battery life (2 to 3 hours) due to LTE. They are trying to work on a decent fix, which will probably not be decent…That you would want a device that gives you 2 to 3 hours of use is…there are no words!

By: DroidGuy Sat, 26 Feb 2011 14:52:00 +0000 $40-$70

By: Anonymous Sat, 26 Feb 2011 14:33:00 +0000 Well sir I stand corrected I didn’t kno that the phone was “sticking” with dual cores and the batt life was improved that much …but you have to admit vzw should lower that price a little and if what you’re saying is true they better optimize those dual cores or something

By: Tim242 Sat, 26 Feb 2011 14:21:00 +0000 True. The Thunderbolt runs all over that thing! But, I still need it to be
$250 max.

By: Tim242 Sat, 26 Feb 2011 14:12:00 +0000 I wouldn’t have a tablet if somebody gave it to me. They are too big to be
practical, and can’t do half of what a netbook can.

By: Tim242 Sat, 26 Feb 2011 14:01:00 +0000 Have you seen the benchmarks? The Evo gets 1100 on quadrant, Thunderbolt
gets 2000. The dual cores that you brag about get 2000-2200. This phone has
768 megs of RAM. And 40 gigs of storage. The Evo has 512 megs of RAM and <9
gigs of storage. This phone has the new gen processor, which means better
battery lifr. The evo is all plastic, this phone is aluminum, with only the
battery door being plastic. This phone has better speakers, a better
kickstand, and Lte. So, I'd say it's more than just inceemental changes

By: Anonymous Sat, 26 Feb 2011 12:13:00 +0000 Ok did I get ya thongs in a bunch or something how bout u dial it down a few
notches …don’t call me ignorant because this phone is only a small
incremental upgrade from a evo ..compared to most high end phones debuting
this year its already behind but further more please don’t insult my
intelligence trying to defend a phone that’s not even out yet and clearly
overpriced (inspire is identical but cost less) by the way I wasn’t saying
anything. Its wrong with. The phone I actually like it ..but its overpriced
and a bit late

By: Alberto Aparicio Sat, 26 Feb 2011 07:38:00 +0000 I doubt the Bionic will be more than $200.
