Since today is release day for the brand new Kindle Fire HD 7″, we have partnered with xScope browser to give one away to a DL community member!

For those new to the game, you may not have heard of xScope. But trust me when I say that when Android was first getting its start, this was our go-to 3rd party browser. It had some incredibly innovative features like single finger pinch-to-zoom, but was also light and fast enough that few could compete with it. Over the last month or so, Gary (the developer) released a new version with Holo styling, more gestures (including the single finger zoom), and one of the more robust browsing experiences around. Definitely check it out.

How have we not asked this question yet? Shame on us. With so many quality options out there for your Android browsing pleasure, we’d love to hear what your favorite is. Is it Skyfire and their interesting take on Flash videos? Firefox and their ever-evolving mobile version? Dolphin, the standard? Is xScope the innovator? Or are we missing something fabulous altogether?

Let us know which browser you prefer, but beyond that, we want to know why it’s your favorite. Why is this the browser for you? If you could change anything in a browser, what would it be?

One of our favorite browsers of all time, xScope, has been updated to version 6 and as you’ll see once you update or download it, has gone through a complete UI overhaul. Gary, the developer behind it, has kept it simple and left out the flashy fluff you’ve seen on other browsers yet still managed to make it all pretty. It’s quite elegant really and couldn’t be more understated especially for the quality that sits behind it.

All of your favorite features are included, such as tabbed browsing, a file manager, etc. but the new look and functionality will surely impress you even more. Check out the full video walkthrough of it after the break.

Chalk up another win for Android and our baby, the Motorola Droid. I didn’t think it was possible to continue to be amazed by a device after almost 5 months, but it keeps happening.

And we actually did a quick review of xScope a while back which you should check out. The one-fingered multi-touch is quite snazzy. Oh, our thoughts on iPhone OS 4.0 shouldn’t be missed either.
