Game Developers Group Together for “Because We May” Promo, Slash Prices on Your Favorite Games

by: | posted 05.24.12 | Apps, Games, News

For one week, a team of game developers has collaborated to bring consumers some great titles at discounted prices. This team of smarties has created a website that lists out some of Android’s (along with other platforms) more popular titles such as World of Goo, Shadowgun, Osmos HD, at discounted rates. Buying straight from the developer is a good way of supporting these guys/girls and letting them know that Android is undoubtedly the sweetest mobile platform around. Follow the link below to see if that game you’ve wanted really bad is finally on sale. Also note, that it’s not just Android games being sold – there are apps available for iOS, Mac, and even Steam users. Winning much?

Owner of a Wii or iDevice?  Then we are sure there is a chance you have heard of World of Goo.  If you are an Android purist, then maybe you have seen it available for your PC.  Starting now,  the classic game World of Goo is available on the Android Market.  This game has won “Game of the Year” and many other awards for the Wii and even the iPad, so it is about darn time it came to Android.

World of Goo Coming To Android, Dubbed GooDroid

by: | posted 10.04.11 | Apps, Games, News

Indie game developer, 2D Boy announced yesterday on their website that the ever popular World of Goo will be heading to Android.

World of Goo for Android devices is coming soon. We’re just working out the final kinks in the machinery. More info on GooDroid soon. [Update: yes, both phones and tablets]

I have been playing World of Goo on both the PC and Wii for the past few years and honestly, it may be one of the best casual games out there. The physics based games (like Angry Birds) main objective is to transport various goos across the map and into a pipe. It sounds easy, but believe me it is both challenging and addicting.

The short post from the developer has indicated that the game will be available for both phones and tablets, however no word was said on pricing or a release date. Perhaps 2D Boy will follow in Rovio’s footsteps and release a free version with ads and a paid version without them. The game currently runs you a cool $4.99 on iOS, which even at that price the game is well worth it.
