Remember the Wikipad? Back in October, this gaming tablet hybrid device was delayed by its makers, stating that there was still a few enhancements they needed to complete on the device before launch. Well, it’s February now and we are finally hearing the first news about a second attempt at launch. Although, this Wikipad has changed quite a bit. 

For those waiting to get their hands on the gaming tablet known as the Wikipad, you’re going to be waiting a bit longer according to a press release from their development team. Launch was scheduled for today, but Wikipad has contacted their retail partners and have said that due to enhancements that should be made before release, they will continue work and delay it until when they feel it is ready.

Attention mobile gamers, does this thing look awesome? Well, it should! It’s called the Wikipad and it’s set to launch at GameStop on October 31 for $500. But don’t let that price tag scare you away, this thing was built with mobile gaming in mind. As you can see, the tablet itself comes with a dock (lack of better word) with built in buttons and thumbsticks. Along the bottom we have some monster speakers for cranking out all the sound fx you could hope for, but that’s just the beginning.
