Verizon to Introduce “MORE Everything” Plans Tomorrow – Double Data at Same Prices, Discounts on Lines, and Doubled Bandwidth

According to multiple sources of ours, tomorrow morning, Verizon will unleash its response to the recent changes made by both T-Mobile and AT&T. Big Red is going to announce new “MORE Everything” plans that aim to give customers more data at no extra cost, doubled bandwidth, free 25GB of cloud storage, and unlimited international messaging. If you are a part of Verizon’s EDGE upgrade program, you will see extra discounts on your line access as well, which could vary depending on the amount of data you are signed up for.

AT&T Launches New “Best Ever Prices” Family Plans – Family of Four With 10GB Data for $160

AT&T announced a new set of 10GB family plans with unlimited talk and text on this pre-Super Bowl Saturday afternoon that they are calling their “best-ever prices.” The family plans show solid discounts over previous rates and those that you would find from Verizon with similar amounts of data. Has the Verizon Unlimited Data Keeping Extravaganza Part 2 Begun? (Updated)

About a month ago, just as Q3 was coming to a close, a handful of our readers noticed that while walking through the upgrade process with Verizon, that they were able to keep unlimited data and not have to switch over to one of Big Red’s new tiered plans. As word got out on that cold September weekend, a flood of upgrades happened since customers of Verizon had been told for over a year that if they upgraded, their precious unlimited data plan would be history. T-Mobile Announces 200MB Free Tablet Data for Life, $0 Down on Tablet Purchases

Yesterday, T-Mobile told us to mark our calendars for a big UnCarrier announcement involving tablets. This morning, they delivered that announcement, which involves 200MB of free tablet data for life, other affordable tablet plans, and $0 down on the purchases of new tablets. T-Mobile Ushering Out Grandfathered Unlimited Data, Switching Customers to New Plans

If you currently own a grandfathered unlimited data plan from T-Mobile, prepare to kiss it goodbye. Come November, T-Mobile will begin ushering customers off of those legacy plans and onto new plans with unlimited voice, text, and data. Specific details on new plan options are receiving mixed reports at this time, however, a Howard Forums member who received a letter detailing his plan’s change. He was offered a plan at $45 per month, with everything set to unlimited (though the amount of full speed 4G remains up in the air). The current lowest level Simple Choice plan runs $50 for unlimited everything, with only 500MB of data at full speeds.  (more…)

US Cellular Announces Its Own Shared Data Plans, Starting at $50 for 1GB

US Cellular announced its own version of shared data plans this morning, joining Verizon and AT&T in one of the most often criticized new wireless trends of the last couple of years. As with the others, US Cellular claims that having giant pots of data that can be shared between family members and employees is much easier to manage. Of course, no one was actually asking for this type of easy management until the industry took unlimited data away from us all and realized that they could bank off of GBs just like they once did with minute and text overages.  (more…)
