If you’re looking for a good workout partner, then you may want to check out Scosche’s RHYTHM monitor. Usually, we wouldn’t pay too much attention to a fitness tool, but much like Motorola’s ACTV line, this monitor is made specifically for Android phones and tablets, as well as iOS devices. The monitor connects wirelessly to your phone via Bluetooth and relays real-time data such as heart rate, calories burned, distance traveled and a whole lot more through a tailored Android app. 

Along with giving you data from your workouts, it can also control your device’s music player and help you find just the right track to get you pumped up. The monitor runs $99, which when compared to Nike’s FuelBand or the MOTOACTV, isn’t terrible since Scosche also provides a web-based interface much like their competitors.
