The boot animation for the special editionR2-D2 Droid 2 leaked last night and now the live wallpapers are out. There are 4 of them in total and are almost all well worth at least a quick look. There might not be any surprises left on this device by the time we see it at the end of September. Oh well?
A new R2-D2 boot animation appeared on the internet late last night and there are rumors that it’s the official one you’ll see with the special edition Droid 2 that we’ve been covering over the last few weeks. And if you are feeling super saucy this morning, here is an audio file which reportedly works during boot, yet I can’t for the life of me get to work. Actually, almost no one can get it to work. Let us know if you do!
Without a new clue releasing and the @DroidLanding account taking the entire weekend off from dropping clues, someone still managed to figure out a secret code this morning, unlocking the live and static wallpapers for the special edition R2-D2 Droid 2. Whoever figures out these codes is some kind of Star Wars machine that’s for sure. Like our guy, Andrew Tarr who won the first phone!

One of our readers unlocked the “Widgets+Apps” section for the special edition R2-D2 Droid 2 and some time last evening another section was unlocked, although this time we have no idea how the person figured it out. Congrats anyway though! The cool thing is, the new section is a full on gallery of the device, which I know we’ve seen but this time they give us a shot from behind with the keyboard slid open plus a look at the special edition media dock.
It’s official, one of our forum members won the first R2-D2 Droid 2! Andrew Tarr (tarrx4) unlocked the Apps+Widgets for #AttackPatternGamma landing him a brand new special edition Droid 2. Congrats Andrew!
If you have been following along in the R2-D2 Droid 2 hunt, you should know that could be another 18 days worth of this mayhem. According to Verizon, the plan is to have all of the codes unlocked at the droiddoes.com/r2d2 site and free special edition D2s distributed by September 20th. Yes, your obsession has a ways to go.

Earlier today, an @DroidLanding tweet referrenced the “blogosphere” for the #AttackPatternDelta secret plans and we were the blogosphere they were referring to. In our possession is the next clue in the R2-D2 Droid 2 Scavenger hunt.
Plugging the message into the droiddoes.com Tweet Translator gets you this message..
I beg your pardon, what is “java script?” You silly utensil you must mean jawa script. Jawas don’t have a written language. Simply awful creatures, jawas. Can’t abide them. What? oh very well…Artoo suggests looking for another clue in the ’Blogosphere.” Personally, I’ve never heard of that star system.
Blogosphere?!? Time to find a specific blog. Wonder if it’s ours?
