Users of the media server service Plex will be excited to hear about the latest update to the Android application, which went live on Google Play today. Starting with the update, if you are a Plex Pass user, you will now have the option to automatically upload any photos taken by your camera to your server.
Automatic Camera Uploads are nothing new to anyone with a Google+ account, but this new update allows Plex users to do the same, and keep them on their own personal media server. (more…)
Previously, when users wished to use Plex with the Chromecast HDMI dongle connected to their HDTVs, they would need to download a separate app called PlexPass and be a member. Starting today, the official Plex app is completely supported with Chromecast, no extra software needed. (more…)
Chromecast doesn’t seem to have only Android fanboys excited anymore, as online content publishers appear to also be jumping on board with the possibilities the device brings.
