At this point, we are starting to pencil in a release of the DROID Incredible 4G LTE some time during the next couple of weeks. A finished build of the device has been photo’d a handful of times, the DroidDoes.com page for it went live earlier in the week, and now we are seeing cases from players like Otterbox arrive in retail packaging. We had a targeted date at one point that referred to April 26 as being the day, but with that being yesterday and no phone in sight, we will focus on next week or the one after.
Verizon released the Spectrum and RAZR MAXX back in early Q1 and nothing important since. With it being 1 month into Q2, you have to assume that something will arrive any day now. The DROID RAZR HD is a possibility, but we are expecting the Incredible 4G LTE to launch well before it.
As a recap, this device will sport a 4.3″ qHD LCD display, 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, NFC chip, 4G LTE, 8GB of onboard storage, SD card slot to add on more, and 1GB of RAM. It’s almost like an HTC One S (our review), but with different screen tech, LTE, NFC and expandable storage. So yeah, that’s basically us saying that the Inc 4G is better. (more…)
While we try wait patiently for Google to release Android 4.0.5 to the Galaxy Nexus, we might as well give some stuff away, right? Over the last month or so, I think we have given away almost 50 cases to DL readers, which is a solid number. Today, we add to that with some of the more popular big name brands in the business. We have a Seidio Surface, Case Mate Pop!, Inicipio Feather, and Otterbox Commuter to hand out to the greatest community in the world. Ready to win one? (more…)
Otterbox cases are some of the more famous of all smartphone accessories. For those that are hard on their phones, drop them constantly or have kids, these are essentially “must haves.” Little was known about there being one for the Galaxy Nexus though, well until now. One of our readers cruised into a Verizon shop this afternoon and found himself a Defender Series Otterbox case for none other than the G-Nex. Funny thing here, is that Otterbox doesn’t even have pictures of it on their own site, but VZW has them available to purchase.
Feeling safer already?

The Otterbox Defender case for the Motorola XOOM that you have all been waiting for is now available. It seems like this thing has been in the making for months now, so here’s to hoping it was well worth that long wait. One thing I do know is that it better act as an ATM or a beer dispenser in order to live up to that steep $89.95 – yikes. To Otterbox’s defense though, they have made some of the more popular and uber secure products in the past, so I’m not actually doubting that this will be any different. My teeth just start hurting when I look at a case for a mobile device that cracks the $30 mark.
Anyone used Otterbox products in the past? Do I dare take the plunge and buy one? After watching that tablet drop test we posted earlier in the week, I’m sort of feeling like I should. (more…)
