My Verizon Mobile App Updated, Widget Returns With Support for Share Everything

by: | posted 07.10.12 | Apps, News

Fans of the My Verizon data widget, go hit up the Play store, as Verizon updated it today with an “enhanced widget” to support their new Share Everything plans. The widget had previously been killed off while Big Red worked on a new version that was compatible with shared data, so folks without unlimited plans will surely be glad to see this little guy back in action. We should point out that the widget will also no longer refresh itself in the background – you have to tap to get it to refresh.

Verizon Kills the Data Usage Widget Days Before Family Share Kicks in, We Hope They Have a New Solution

by: | posted 06.26.12 | News

For reasons unknown, Verizon has decided to kill off the Data Usage widget that is included in the My Verizon app. Over the next couple of days, users who have the app installed will be notified that an update will remove the widget from their phone, but that they can remove it themselves today, if they’d like. It’s a puzzling move because Share Everything will be here in 2 days, which means people will need to know the current status of their data usage now more than ever. In the mean time, they are recommending that you dial #DATA to track usage.

My Verizon App Updated With New UI, Finally Works Well

I personally do not use the My Verizon app, but I know that many of you do and wanted to make sure you received the most recent update for it. Previous version of the app were slow, riddled with bugs, and could frustrate even a monk. The new version is a lot simpler with a tabbed layout, allowing you to quickly check messages counts or minutes used or data consumed. You can view upgrade dates, purchase accessories, change features, and more without worry.

Download: My Verizon App for HTC Thunderbolt, The Official One That Works

by: | posted 05.06.11 | Downloads, Exclusive, News

We’re not sure why Verizon hasn’t released a working version of the My Verizon app for the HTC Thunderbolt and other 4G LTE devices yet, but we thought we’d point out a link to the official one that does work so that you can all relax a little and keep track of all those geebeez.  Again, this is not a hacked version from a forum – this is the official version.  And yeah, that’s about all we really need to say about it.

Download:  MyVerizon.apk (VZW asked that we remove it.)

Uninstall the current version on your device and then install this one.  If prompted in the market to update afterwards, do not update or it’ll break it again.

Everyone be sure to thank our friend @0mie for the love!
