Madden 2012 on Android is FREE this Weekend from Verizon

Madden 2012 on Android will normally run you about $7.50, but from October 1-3 (this weekend), Verizon customers can download it for free by simply calling **MADDEN (**623336).  It may not help the fact that 1,200 of us got whacked from the Droid Life Eliminator in weeks 1-3 of this NFL season, but it at least gives us another way to enjoy some football for free.  That’s right, there are only 396 people out of 1,500 that still have a chance to win after just 3 weeks.  Fun times.

Cheers Scott, John and Jubby!

Madden 2012 Also Available on Android Today

Anyone headed to a store this morning to pick up Madden 2012?  Or have some of you already gone 2-3 hours deep into your first franchise season?  Or did some of you have to work today? (I say that because this is like a holiday for gamers)  If for whatever reason you had to and are not able to plant yourself firmly on a couch, you may want to grab the Android version of the game that was also released and dive into a season from your desk.  It will run you almost $8, but that could be well worth the time spent discovering who will be this year’s unstoppable force.

As most of the Droid X owners out there know, the new 2.2.1 update brought Madden 2011 to Android, a game that so many of you have been waiting for over the last few months.  Well, we upgraded to the $9.99 full version to give those of you on the fence a chance to see the game in all its glory and to help you decide if this purchase is for you.  I will say that the game runs really well for being a mobile app and comes packed with almost every feature you could ask for in a Madden game.  They may have taken their sweet time releasing it and unfortunately only went with this one phone, but at first glance, they seem to have done a nice job.

Oh and the 7:13 mark is a chance for everyone to see me put on a clinic.

Madden 2011 on Android will Cost $9.99

As readers of this site, you already know that the 2.2.1 update which will be available to all Droid X in the next few days includes the first version of Madden 2011 on Android.  We’re not all that surprised that it will make its debut on the DX since we know that Verizon has a major relationship with the NFL, but we thought you should know a little something about the game itself.  The pre-loaded version that comes with the update is as you may have expected, a demo version and as far as I know, will only let you play a half of football.  If you want to upgrade to the full version though, it’ll cost you $9.99 and will be charged straight to your Verizon bill.  I’m actually a little surprised that it won’t cost you more than $9.99.

I haven’t had a chance to dive into it completely yet, but from what I’ve seen, the game looks pretty stellar.  We’ll hopefully have some video up in the morning for you all to check out.
