We always love waking up to press event invites, especially when they are from companies like HTC ahead of a major conference (Mobile World Congress in this case). That usually means something big, because they have decided to do their own thing rather than share the spotlight with dozens of competitors. So mark your calendars, February 19th in NYC is the day that HTC’s shows us “what’s next.”

I think it’s safe to say that we are all expecting this to be the M7. The device has leaked in a variety of ways over the last couple of months

You can consider the HTC M7 in full hypebeast mode in these last few weeks heading up to MWC this year. HTC’s supposed new flagship phone is leaking left and right and today we get to take a look at the chassis for the device as compared to other recent HTC handsets like the One X and DROID DNA. 

According to Twitter account @evleaks, a reliable source of insider information for the mobile industry, the HTC M7 has been “confirmed” for all of the major U.S. carriers except T-Mobile. Yes, if you do the math or piece together the rest of the puzzle, that means Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint could all see this latest flagship device from HTC. 

OK, so is this the real HTC M7? It could be. It certainly looks a heck of a lot like the purported render we saw earlier on Sunday. Funny thing is, that render was supposedly a mock-up or not real, yet this picture of a phone that mimics it entirely is now, real. Just making sure I have that straight before we dive into it. If that even straightened any of it out.

So, is this a real render of the HTC M7? Your guess is as good as ours, however, this looks much more like a phone that HTC would produce than the random iPhone-ish, dual-speaker render we saw earlier in the week. Expected to be announced at Mobile World Congress next month, we are seeing a lot to like if this turns out to be the real deal. 

This morning, we are getting another look at the HTC M7. Thanks to a “trusted source” with access, Unwired View has released the above image which lacks any type of branding and has an edge to edge display, but was pulled from an animation which instructs first time owners on how to insert the SIM in the M7.

Since CES was a complete bust in terms of seeing HTC’s next superphone, the M7, it feels natural that we would see some leaked goodies shortly after. Although, I have to admit, this is some of the worst leaked shots I’ve ever seen, of anything. So, let us take a second and go over what we have.

According to a source inside HTC that spoke with HTC Source, we now know quite a bit about the M7, although we still don’t have any leaked images. Apparently, the M7 may feature Sense 5.0, but it is a very “simple and clean” redesigned interface. Could this be the change that HTC has needed so desperately?
