This morning, AT&T has announced the addition of Lenovo’s new IdeaTab A2107 to their tablet lineup. Off contract, AT&T will be offering the device for just $200, but even that price still can’t match up to the Nexus 7 in terms of specs. With a lower resolution, weaker processor, and only Android 4.0, you will be picking this tablet up only if you’re in serious need of a data connection. 

If you feel like knocking another $100 off that price though, you can put it on a new two year agreement and get it for just $99. Here is the full list of specs.

The Intel booth marked one of our last stops here at CES 2012, and what better way to start wrapping things up than by looking at one of the future chipsets you will see in Android phones this year. It’s called Intel’s “Medfield” processor and is a single-core chip clocked at 1.6GHz. Don’t let the single-core part throw you though, so far from some of the benchmarks we have seen around the interwebs, this thing looks powerful enough.

For demo and display purposes, they slapped it into a Lenovo casing that may or may not ever see the light of day here in the States. The device itself ran Android 2.3 and had an 8MP camera that Intel’s chip was able to use to shoot up to 15 pictures within a single second. It also ran some of the more processor intensive games on the market without a hiccup.

We listened and watched a live demo of the device for a few minutes, but then quickly grabbed it to see how it performed. What did we think? Tough to have any strong opinions on it since this was really just a dev device, but the design that Lenovo went with was decent. The fact that the camera can take burst shots in a single second is a bonus, along with the fact that this processor is supposed to use far less energy than some of its competitors.

The ink has barely dried on the announcement post for the Lenovo IdeaPad K1 that we just wrote and their team has already thrown together an unboxing video.  The biggest thing I noticed, was the set of custom widgets and the slight tweaks to the look that they’ve included with Honeycomb.  It doesn’t appear to be a full-on custom skin, but more of a slight overlay like we’ve seen from Samsung or Asus (you’ll see non-stock Honeycomb icons).  And they also made mention of this device being the first to have Netflix support – just don’t forget that you can have it on your tablet today.  Check out the full unboxing of the K1 below.

Been wondering why your XOOM, Transformer, Galaxy Tab 10.1 or Iconia weren’t allowed to access Netflix?  You can thank Lenovo who secured the title of “first ever” Netflix certified Honeycomb tablet with their brand new IdeaPad K1.  The device is available starting today for $499 (the standard these days) and includes 32GB of storage, front (2MP) and rear (5MP) cameras, NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, HDMI-out, and only weighs 1.7lbs.

It’s another sharp looking tablet, we’re just wondering how all of these companies are going to differentiate since they all have the exact same specs and features.  Well, I guess Netflix integration would definitely help it stand out at least a little.  We are liking the different colorways though, which you’ll see in the video walk-through below.
